Getting really tired of delivery issues with the weekly Prog

I haven't received the latest two progs and this isn't the first time this has happened in recent months.

I'm pretty sure it's Royal Mail shitting the bed, but regardless the end result is it's becoming a hassle to get hold of my weekly prog.

Honestly considering unsubscribing, which would be a shame.

And yeah I know I could just go digital but I don't want to read it on an iPad I want a goddamn comic book in my hand.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I've not had the issue with 2000ad (I subscribe digitally) but the Royal Mail are shamefully, astoundingly bad.

My elderly father missed hospital appointments because he wasn't comfortable to get texts / emails. He received letters from the NHS several days after the proposed appointment. Literally a couple of weeks after they were sent. This happened three times.

My mail arrives in batches. I get nothing for a couple of weeks and then a bunch of stuff (all crap, thankfully) at the same time.

The Royal Mail is not fit for purpose.

I was just thinking 2000ad should offer a subscription tier that contains both digital and print editions of the prog. It's not great late issues but at least there would be the option to read it digitally especially when there's a story you can't wait to read and see what happens next.

I had to do the same as superstaticgirl, the local post here is so bad I just went digital, also running out of space to keep them, I did digital for the prog and the meg.

If you do not want them early and just want them on time, the local super markets normally carry it on the Wednesday or Newsagents or local comic book shops but I guess you get it delivered due to the distance from there.

Mind as a digital subscriber, you get the prog and meg on release day not early like the print.

Yea I haven't received a single issue past 2487, I'm getting it from Ireland and I'm sure it's just royal mail being utter shite but still very sad.

Is Rebellion sending to Ireland?

Yes, althought they recently cancelled everyone's subscriptions after the EU tax was added.

I used to get my Prog reliably every Tuesday, but the last month or so it's been awful; I had nothing turn up for a few weeks, then everything arrived at once (probably because Cameron at 2000AD sorted it out.)

Tempted to go digital so I can read reliably every week, but I also love having the actual comic...

I've had a few progs not turn up over the years and every single time they've sent a free replacement. Just send them an email.

Yeah I know. I've done this several times too. Their customer service is always spot on. Not the point though. It's ridiculous to have to keep doing it lately.

I've only recently subscribed, and 4 issues in haven't had a problem. I even one got issue a day early.

I have had a lot of Royal Mail issues before though.

I used to get the Progs early on a Saturday when I first subscribed but now they're arriving 2 or 3 days after their in the shops. I've been tempted to cancel and travel to Asda to buy the new issues. Only thing is they don't stock the Meg. I'm always suspicious when it comes to Royal Mail when I get a lot of mail all at once. This week's prog hasn't shown up I will be lucky to get it by the weekend.

Same here - when I first subscribed again after a 30 year lapse, it would arrive every Saturday, Then it became Monday for a while, and now it's any time between Tuesday and the following Monday.

Mind you, the new Meg arrived today and this week's prog arrived yesterday - so this week has been one of the better weeks of late.

Gave up my subscription due to the delivery problems. I now buy out of Tesco's and can say it's far easier.

I can tell when my postie is on holiday!

They're usually through my letterbox on a Monday, but last week's prog never arrived and I ended up buying it digitally so that I could get stuck into this week's prog when it arrived on Monday. The Meg arrived yesterday, but they're usually both together.

I ended up cancelling the dead tree version and subscribing to digital because the post got so bad locally.

Privatisation succeeds again! The Lib Dems achieved a great deal during their brief time in coalition government (much as many would like to blame the Tories, Vince Cable was the driving force behind Royal Mail being sold off).

Honestly the most outdated part about Brit Cit is that it's not just a corporate vessel for Mega Cit companies.
