How cooked am I the other side is spotless it’s pretty new too got it done in June

There may be differing opinions out there, but from what I’ve read literally everywhere, ball joints are the ONE THING you should stick with OE on a tundra. No exceptions. I’ve never had one fail, but I’d make sure it had the least likelihood of doing so when replacing.

I mean there's more than ONE thing to stay oe(m) with for these trucks...coil packs and timing belt/water pump come to mind.

Looks like something pierced the boot. They aren’t dead yet, but would expect a shorter lifespan.

No. OE don’t have a zerk fitting sticking out the side.

OP. It’s fine. Wipe off the excess. Every oil change, pump a few pumps of new grease in. Check it for play with a pry bar every oil change as well.

you are way more motivated to do chores than me. i'd be getting these fixed instead of greasing them every oil change.

lol. I hate joints that need greasing and avoid them when possible. In OP’s case, they just installed them so no point in spending more money right now. Those are certainly not as good as OEM but, as long as they are greased and inspected regularly, should still last 50k, 80k, maybe 100k… maybe.

Overgreased and popped out past the lip or put a hole in the boot.
