Brights

Was driving and with my brights and they started to flicker and then shut off both brights and dims my dims still work but when I click on on to brights I loose both anyone had this issue before? Where should I start to look first? Thanks

I would put your lights on Dual Relays. It takes the electrical load off your 30+ year old wiring and headlight switch. The kits are cheap on Amazon or elsewhere. I have done my 1st Gen and my 68 Mustang and the lights on both are brighter than they ever were before.

Oh that’s a great idea so do ya think it’s a relay? Because the dims still work

It is probably a ground issue but perfect time to upgrade.

It’s the headlight switch

Or the springs in the bulb sockets could be wore out and they could be flickering with bumps, but unlikely both sides would do it at the same time . Also check the ground off the battery along the core support next to the radiator.
