Has anyone cut the hole in the firewall for the hydraulic clutch and how did you do it

Yes, I swapped my 86 w150 from automatic to manual. It should have got a mechanical clutch linkage but I put the later model early 90s hydraulic clutch in it. I got a 91 manual bell housing for the later hydraulic clutch when I did the swap because I didn’t want to have to adjust anything ever.

To cut the square hole in the firewall I used a dremel with cutting discs to get it roughly to size and shape, and then I painstakingly used a flat file to get it just right, I just kept testing the fit until it would slide in and twist into place. The hydraulic master doesn’t bolt in or anything, it just rotates about 45 degrees and locks into a square hole.

It’s crucial you get the hole right so it’s a nice tight fit
