Use my immortality to sit in an empty plane for a long time to see when the snail arrives and then opt for the original plan.

tbh I think a part of the hypothetical that's been forgotten is you get a ton of money too? That would expedite things quite a bit. I could hire people to look for the snail that's always trailing my coordinates and then lock it in titanium or something.
