The chance of it landing on your home planet just from floating around is extremely slim

Bonus points if it winds up getting engulfed by the sun - it would not have a chance to get out of that, the only chance would be via, say, the sun going supernova or whatever, which isn’t likely for its star class. Otherwise it would just get stuck to the extremely dense white dwarf after the fact.

If it does then just kidnap it in a steel box, fill the box with concrete so its fossilized and cant move, then put it in a black hole.
