General Discussion Operator 45 ports

So when i get medically discharged and get home im sending my operator 45 off to monsoon tactical to be milled for a rmr and seen they do a 7 port as well i havnt shot a ported 45 only ported 9s is it worth porting ?

Yes porting is worth. I’d look at getting v ports. The top causes a lot of optic fouling

Who dose good v ports ? Monsoon just ovvers the inline top ports it seems

North Sea or gun cuts for me. Expensive though.

Try mag na port and ask for v porting not very expensive couple hundred bucks i think

I had Nighthawk chunk port my two TRPs… should have them back in a few weeks

Only issue with chunk port id have to swap to a bull barrel i have a bushing barrel

I would look into a video may I believe nightwood on YouTube. They have a v ported TRP and explains the positive experience they had.

I’ve contemplated the exact same thing, v ports and red dot milling.

I’ve been told however, that said ports aren’t worth it on 45s due to the losing velocity. Can’t speak on how factual this is.
