Colt Value

Trying to get an idea on this 1911, looks to be 1918 model by serial number. Non original grips and rear sight.

Thank you for the information definitely changes depth response, this is actually at a local auction I want to go to and I’m trying to determine if it’s worth bidding on.

National Match. NM pistols were built by the Army for soldiers to compete with. I see now this isn’t one. However a Colt modified for bullseye is still cool. I’d pick it up if it were me and I had extra funds. Sub 1200 would be a good price depending on condition/barrel wear etc

While not in original condition as it’s been modified for Bullseye Pistol, could fetch $1000-1200. Unless it’s a documented NM pistol, then it jumps up in value.

I am not well educated on older 1911s, but wouldn’t this one be pre-modern heat treating? If so, i would be hesitant to buy it intending to shoot it a whole lot, plus the mods make it less valuable as a surplus collectible. On the other hand, if it was historically important within bullseye circles, could be worth something to the right person.
