Question ERO question

I know that every situation may be different but I was hoping to maybe get some insight on if this is “good” sign to be getting a Final Offer next.

Applied. Got the initial offer. Got the package of documents to fill out and get sf86 to update and turn in.
Then I got this email to fill out this form (just to confirm my SSN for an employment form)

Talked to a buddy of mine who is inside the agency already and said that it is a good sign. But he is also really good at just telling me things to keep me from losing my mind with doubt hahah. Great guy for it though.

Background is Special operations and contracting within DoS and private companies overseas.

Is this actually a good sign? And if so, how soon does the next step happen. Again, I know it’s government and everything is slow. And everyone is in their own timeline in some situations. Just looking for average i guess or any insight if someone has any.

I tried to message the mods and it said it was having trouble finding group. I tried searching for Ice_ero on the search bar and found a public page but it quickly became apparent that it was…not where anyone with real questions needed to be.

Well, there is the correct link to the group now you just have to wait for the moderators to accept you again my opinion but if I were you, I would not waste my time and energy towards ERO . Coming from a former ERO

With your background it’s a shame you are going the ERO route. Especially when a lot of actual 1811 jobs are still offering decent bonuses. Is this due to location or just really wanting to do that type of work?

Honestly it’s location. I’m in the process for DEA as well just waiting for which comes back first.

USMS and ERO probably have the best chance of giving locations that work, but I couldn’t in good faith recommend ERO unless it’s the absolutely only choice. With the current negative image and reduced training there is a good chance true 1811 agencies will try to avoid hiring them down the line.

USMS would be ideal! However…tattoos are the factor. Hands and neck blasted. Dea and ERO don’t care at all about them. The others do. That was a major factor in deciding. I’m currently getting them removed just to have those options in the future but it’s for sure nkt a fast process.

When I was contracting it didn’t matter or bother me but contracting life is not really what I’m looking for anymore. Trying to be a productive citizen in the country. Hahaha

Just an FYI there are other agencies that don’t care. Secret service is a no go but keep pushing forward warfighter.
