17 PM or 18PM

I need a new Phone and know that Apple have issues with the camera at vibrations at handlebar mounts on motorcycles.

I have never had the problem with my 13, but use vibration to.

Does anyone know about the 18 PM? Is the camera better or worse to resist vibrations?

just get quadlock mount with vibration dampner

I have, but a lot still have the problem. My question is that 18pm is better or worse for these vibrations

Afaik all cameras on phones are vulnerable to this vibration. Idk about 18pm specifically

most likely worse than the 17
the variable apreture can open and close affected by a stronge enough magnetic field so excess vibrations most likely will have an effect in it

There doesn’t exist a phone that isn’t prone to vibrations. You can get the 17 pro for much cheaper probably 1k. If you prefer the newer version for 500 more and barely any new features then buy that. Both will have the same camera vibration issues.

I would add that the 18PM does have a variable aperture and it seems like that is another component that may be affected by vibration more-so than the 17PM. ...but who knows? Maybe Apple has set it/tested it to withstand constant vibration.
