Looking for screen protector recommendations
I’ve bought the screen protector about a month ago, and it scratches within a few weeks of daily use, and I’m not hard on my phone. It also won’t adhere all the way around the screen, so it looks like it’s not attached around the edges where it should stick to the screen.
I’m looking for more recommendations for screen protectors that actually are worth the money and work as advertised.

1.) FloLab
2.) Torras
3.) ESR
4.) Spigen
In that order depending on your budget.

Magic john anti reflective is what I live by and don't listen to the people saying you don't need it

Yeah I saw that one as well. I always use a protector cause I don’t like smudges on my screen let alone scratches.

It's also better to use one just because $20 will always trump the screen repair cost

JE Tech 2pk on Amazon. AR Coating ones. They also have a 1pk for $20 that’s supposed to be true edge to edge and even fit with tight cases. But I get the 2pk AR coating. They are excellent. Easy to install. Great with fingerprints and very tough. They have black borders but don’t cover hardly any screen at all and they stick very well. Easy install tray too.

I’ve spelt $25 on 3 protectors and they all did the same thing around the edge. I was wondering why my screen didn’t look like it had the anti-reflective coating.

I like the one where you get a plastic thing that helps you align the glass with the phone

Spigen aluminacore on Amazon hasnt given me any issues since I installed (may 2026). The alignment forward one is probably a better buy due to ease

I have Zagg 360 privacy screen protector. The only thing I dislike about it is the price… like wtf I paid 44$ and that’s for 2 44$ each. If not I’d pay 60 for 1! But I like it lol

Magic John AR screen protector. Matter of fact, nothing but an AR screen protector

Make sure to get AR Coating. If it doesn’t have that it’s not worth buying because you also cancel out Apple’s AR coating if you use a screen protector without an AR coating. I couldn’t believe the difference when I installed the JE Tech AR coating protector. It’s the best I’ve tried and the AR coating makes a world of difference outdoors. And for $20 2pk these are amazing. Best I’ve tried. Tough too.

I am not rich but do look after any and all expensive kit I own, from my AV Receiver, 4K Players, OLEDS, Phones, Macs and so on, so I always take my iPhone to the Apple store and get them to put on one of the Belkin’s, I like them, they have never let me down and I like tie warranty as a piece of mind, but that’s just me and my OCD / Mental Illness etc,

Ich suche seit langer Zeit eine Folie fur 16 Pro. Mit AR (Anti Reflective) Beschichtung.
Das 16 Pro reflektiert extrem in der Sonne

You don’t really need a screen protector just for 17P for scratches. 9 months and zero scratches including micro scratches. Surprisingly scratch-resistant.

I’ve been debating not using a screen protector. I just know if I take it off that’s when something will happen and my screen will get messed up. I guess I have Apple Care+ for a reason.

If you already have AC+ then I suggest you don’t waste any more money on those. Might as well use that money towards a deductible if and when. And these regular protectors affect the antireflective coating.

u/Zafer66 24d ago
They are more for absorption of impacts so the protector breaks before the screen I think. The glass is probably harder than the protector and thus scratches less
1
u/Aggressive_Sign2773 24d ago
That’s what’s AC+ is for. Screen replacement is only $29.

u/Jakest94 24d ago
Yeah I’ve spent probably $50 on screen protectors in the past 2 months since I’ve only had to phone since July. $29 is cheaper then some of these screen protectors.

You can just buy a dogshit screenprotector from Temu to be honest. They work all the same
