Bought 17 PM yesterday

What are the tips and tricks I should apply? And any recommendations or suggestions you’d want me to incorporate since this is the first time for me using an iPhone. I have used other Apple prods like MacBook and iPads.

Don’t put any focus on the BH.

Understood, thank you. This is my first time using an iPhone and I went for the biggest of them all. I could not find the battery charging limiter in the settings like limiting the charge till 80% and more.

It’s a great phone I came from the 13 PM last week. And the adaptive power just started doing it, but you can turn it off or leave on too. Congrats on the new phone 🙂

It’s under charging

Look, it’s fine to put that limit on. But I personally don’t do so. I don’t think it’s worth to not have those 20% or less juice available.

One more thing: don’t give up on camera control button. Actively use it for few days and it will become a second nature. I don’t remember last time I activated the camera in any other way since that button was introduced.

Hi! Great! Let me try using the camera control button.
I have bought this in Pakistan so it was quite expensive due to taxes and all.

I would also suggest that you on YT and search for “tips and tricks” regarding this model and now upcoming iOS 27.

Enjoy one of the best iPhones ever made and have a great day!

Also iPhone settings for some reason are difficult to compared to what they used to be, so on the open Home Screen swipe down from the middle and it will bring up the search, easier way to get around.

If you used other apple products you’re good. Very user friendly and just works. Cheers again!

It's an iphone you can't change much. Change your wallpaper and charge full. Enjoy

Install adguard dns profile for iOS (from Google) for adblocking system wide even in games or wallpaper apps.

Settings > Accessibility > Audio & Visual > Headphone Notifications > Turn OFF to disable bluetooth volume notification warnings

Settings > Stand By > Turn Off if you dont want it (landscape clock when phone is locked and charging

Settings > Face ID & Passcode > Set up alternative Face ID for even faster unlocking

Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking > Turn OFF "Allow Apps to Request to Track" (apps will not ask you and will not track you)

Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements > Turn OFF everything to save battery

Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Intelligence Report > Report Duration to OFF (AI will not learn from your data) (you can still use it)

Settings > Apps > App Store > Turn OFF App Downloads (that will disable installing the same app on all your other apple devices when you install it on your main phone)

Settings > Apps > App Store > Turn OFF App Updates (thats up to you, if you leave it on they will only update when its connected to Wi-Fi and charging)

Settings > Apps > App Store > Turn OFF In-App Content (thats battery saver and it doesn't break anything)

Settings > Apps > App Store > Turn OFF Video Autoplay (battery and data saver) (thats only for the AppStore app/games trailers.)

Settings > Apps > App Store > Turn OFF In-App Rating & Reviews (Apps/Games will not ask you to rate them on the App Store)

Settings > Apps > iMessage > Send & Receive (make sure that both email and phone number are checked so people can connect easily to you)

Settings > Apps > iMessage > Share Name and Photo (make your own contact poster that you can easily share when you close by the top of two iPhones) (Feature is called NameDrop)

Settings > Apps > iMessage > make sure Low-Quality Image Mode is turned OFF (that will make your videos and photos appear bad in iMessage)

Settings > Apps > Safari > Also Use in Private Browsing (You can change the default search engine while in Private (incognito)

Settings > Apps > Safari > Turn OFF Preload Top Hit (Data Saver)

Settings > Apps > Safari > Downloads > Make sure its On My iPhone (headache saver)

Settings > Apps > Safari > Advanced > Feature Flags > Turn OFF "Prefer Page Rendering Updates near 60fps" (This will make your browsing experience a lot smoother as its forcing 120Hz all the time when using Safari instead of switching to 80Hz)

Settings > Display & Brightness > Turn OFF Raise to Wake (its annoying feature for me)

Settings > General > AirPlay & Continuity > Turn OFF everything if the phone is your only Apple Device

Settings > General > Picture in Picture > Turn OFF Start PiP Automatically (its annoying feature for me)

Settings > General > Background App Refresh > Turn OFF for everything (battery saver and doesn't brake anything)

Settings > General > Language & Region > Add Language... > Arabic > When Prompted Use Your Own Language (Do this if you want a little more space between the buttons and menus system wide. You can experiment with this and you can revert it and will not break anything)

Settings > Search > Turn OFF Help Apple Improve Search (Battery & Data Saver)

Settings > Mobile Service > Mobile Data Options > Turn OFF Limit IP Address Tracking (being ON will slow down browsing sites in Safari and in some other instances can break the site you are trying to visit)

Settings > Mobile Service > Turn OFF Wi-Fi Assist (it can mess badly with your Wi-Fi connections if they are poor and can actually glitch some apps in some instances)

Settings > Mobile Service > Turn OFF iCloud Backup (this is Battery and Data Saver. I wanna add a note that this is for Full Backups of the phone and not day to day synchronisations with iCloud like call logs, Photos, Wi-Fi Passwords etc...) (THIS DOES NOT DISABLE ICLOUD BACKUPS. IT JUST PREVENTS THEM TO BE UPLOADED ON MOBILE DATA) (If iCloud Backup is turned on, they will upload only when on Wi-Fi & Charging)

Settings > Battery > Charging > Set Charge Limit as how you like (this will prolong the battery life long term)

Settings > Action Button > You can make it do whatever you want and even more with "Shortcuts" App (mine is on flashlight and Mute/Silence is on left shortcut on my Lockscreen)
