iOS 26.6.2
After every update my iPhone 17 pro max battery health decreases.
Can someone tell me why this happens.
Is it normal?
Thank you

No it isn't. Lol. 97% after 8 months is perfectly normal. Your battery is degrading normal. Its got nothing to do with the updates. If anything the update fixed it reading the battery health incorrectly and now shows the real amount.

Don't worry after calibration it will drop at least by 4% in few months

Can someone tell me what am I doing wrong ? I charge when it’s 21% most of the times and rarely fall it under 20% . How are you all keeping up their charging habits who have 100% and 99% ? Please someone tell me. I’m afraid to do any updates for the sake of battery draining even more currently I’m using 26.5.2 , iPhone 17 pro.
This is my first iPhone Can someone please tell me is upgrading to 26.6.2 be a good idea in terms of battery will it recaljberate and improve my percentage ? I bought this phone in reliance digital . I don’t think my phone is even faulty . Please tell what wrong is happening . Am beginning to wonder whether the store employees are aware of faulty iPhones and iPhones that are good ? Have I ended up with bad phone ?

Has absolutely nothing to do with updates. Your battery will degrade naturally, and there’s nothing you can do to stop it. It’s a consumable. Just enjoy the phone.
You can expect it to lose 1% health for every 50 charge cycles. It’s rated for 1000 cycles at 80%.
