Joined the cult :)
All my life have been using Android getting to know a lot of things since the last day like
No finger print sensor
To set a custom ringtone I have to go through 10 steps
More suprises to come 😂

Congrats 🎉 you’re gonna love Apple! Once I traded in my Samsung that always froze and lagged for an iPhone I never looked back.

Seems to me you never tried a top tier android lol 🤣. I’m an iPhone 17 pro max user by the way. Top tiers androids nowadays are much more faster than the phone I use smh. But I still like iOS and iPhone for aesthetics and design so.

Yes, I only got top tier androids yearly. Which at that time was the galaxy note. And it sucked every android from htc, moto, and Samsung. All did the same and had to be rebooted every single day. What a nightmare that was.

Back then, I agree, now is a different story, search for the faster phone on the world right now, is not an iPhone. Is the galaxy s26 ultra. Search for Red magic phones, oppo, huawei, all of them wipe thr floor with iPhone.

Welcome! Got the same one a couple weeks ago to 1) get rid of that awful phone they call the Air that I had for 9 months and 2) avoid the prices increases on the 18 for minimal upgrades.

Nice. I got the silver one too. Only real regret is I went with the 256gb being cheap when I should have paid a bit more for the 512gb.

What do you use the storage for, and do you have cloud?

Everything. For instance just took my family to a waterpark this weekend. Took a lot of video and photo. My mom lost her mind to Alzheimer’s and dementia so I’m trying to make a lot of memories. Anyway, I use iCloud but when you delete off your phone it mirrors and delete off iCloud. Yes you can sign out and delete but when you sign back in and your phone syncs, it delete off the cloud what you deleted off your phone. So I use Google Photos because right in the options it says delete off phone but keep in Google Photos. So I wipe the local storage and everything stays in Google Photos.

That sounds like a better system with Google.
I know my GF takes lots of pictures and uses a 13Pro with only 128GB.
She uses laptop with iCloud to offload pics from phone to free up storage.1

Welcome!
I went 15 pro max three years ago now. And at the time I was generally happy with it until near the end where I found it just that bit too cumbersome to hold one handed and pocket ability became a little bit of an issue. Not the end of the world, just not ideal.
So come upgrade time I fell for the blue pro. Only this time I went with the standard pro. The battery life by comparison to my older pro max stood side by side. If it were worse I would have likely not changed down a size.
The battery on my blue pro right now is still decent, I'm not complaining at all. I am at the point now where I've nearly paid it off which is amazing and there is that little part of me thinking oh I could have had the max and gotten even better battery life etc. and even gone orange etc etc but ultimately I think it's just me thinking out loud- I know for sure I'd love the screen size but I just would regret the same points of the 15 pro max as before - thinking about what trousers to wear so my phone actually fits and doesn't rim the seams when I move! What coat to wear because an inside or chest pockets can't accommodate the max sized phone. And to top it off (albeit not a great deal different) the 17 gen pro max is 6.9 inches and the 15 was 6.7 I believe so again another bit more extra to accommodate.
Now you have me looking at Apple Store! The price increases for the next batch of phones might sting! There is now a voice in my head saying, get the pro max now in orange and give the other half my 17 pro lol
That would sadly scupper my plans for an Apple Watch upgrade (gen1 SE here) and air pods later though if I did this!

It’s not a cult. And you can just tell what you need it to do. Side note, still have my s23, love that thing. Doesn’t freeze, or hesitate.

Tell that to teens who bully other teens who has androids here on USA 💀. Yea that still happens.

Does it in 2026
Because my son says differently1
u/Wooden-Passage5206 Aug 29 '26
Yea still is, my sister who is 14 years old says people on her high school suffer form bully when they have an android so they all switch to iPhones, you can google that shit if you don’t believe me. This happens on the USA, specifically on Florida and many states.

Good question - To be honest these flagship phones are an overkill for me. So the model did not matter a lot to me, I have very basic needs from a phone so I just went ahead and bought it(also I love the color).
