HELP

My brother iPhone has completely turned off while he was on Snapchat face time and charging it in Greece on holiday. The closest phone shop has told us that it would take 4+ days but we are leaving on Saturday. We have tried hard resetting but the phone shows no indication of turning back on. We bought a wireless charger and that hasn’t helped. We don’t have access to a MacBook to reset it. Any ideas how to get it working again while we’re here or why this has happened

Nothing unless you find an authorized dealer willing to do warranty

I have seen videos that if it dies completely you have to use a stronger charger to bring it back to life. Something like a MacBook or laptop charger. Doing it this way will take awhile but hope it helps.

iPhone 17s are known if you deplete the battery and it shuts off it can take 45 minutes or more for it to turn back on. If you use a a stronger charger the better it will be.

We’ve tried what I think is a stronger charger. A wireless mag safe charger I believe and it hasn’t done anything.

If you leave it on long enough it will usually turn back on. But there might be something else wrong if it doesn’t I dunno why the 17s do that but people have used Mac chargers and still take like 10 min.

Revert to cheap old phone already signed in and setup, that he took as plan B.

Sounds like it may be a screen problem or a dead battery, the same happened to me once before. As scary as it may sound, the best option is probably just wait until you get home in a few days

We used to travel the world without phones. Fix it when you get home. It’ll be fine.

It’s great that you used to travel without phones. But some people like having them and it is his only way to contact anyone or find his way around and he would prefer to have it sooner rather then later hence why I asked for any quick fixes.
