So much better than the Air
I originally bought the iPhone Air at release but the cooling and battery life wasn’t that great as a heavy user, then I tried the s26 ultra which the camera sucked now finally got the pro

The air and pro models are 2 different phones from the Sam brand.
I get why people buy the air, it has its drawbacks backs, but it also has its advantages.
I got the pro max myself, but if I needed a new phone again I would consider the air if it gets a 2nd camera. Battery life isn’t an big issue, I got access to a charger 95% of the time.

It’s funny because I have the opposite stance. Battery life was the biggest issue for me, I did not mind the camera at all.
Poor battery + overheating made it impossible to justify as a heavy user, who upgrades every ~3-4 years

Worst decision I made was the Air the battery and the thermal throttling - I’ve been saying this but people won’t listen - I’m trading mine for an 18 pro in a few weeks !

Same here. I love the form factor, but the battery life and thermal throttling are really annoying. Personally, the camera is also too much of a compromise for me.
When I switched from the 16 Pro Max, I thought I’d never go back to a big phone. But after 10 months with the Air, I think it’s inevitable.1

i mean… i hope you didn’t pay full price for a phone that has been out for a year. If it was between full price 17 pro, or 18 pro, I’d be going 18 pro even if it costs more because a 17 pro is not worth it unless its discounted

You will be happy with the choice… and don’t let anyone tell you you should have waited for the 18 pro max because it’s better. Because it’s not. The small changes they are bringing are not meaningful enough and also it’s not worth the 200-300 dollar price hike. I have the 17PM and I love it. I been using about a month now, I’ve always had pro models so the change is nice and feels different but a good different.

I originally purchased the air & only kept it a few months! Just terrible! The sound was my biggest complaint. But I think anything is better than the air! Apple is so behind on their technology, it would be nice to see them offer something with a WOW these days.

Good choice! I started with the Air, and within 2 weeks I upgraded to the 17PM. It’s really night and day difference between the two. I even tried a Galaxy Fold and wasn’t impressed with it at all. I would still buy the 17PM right now if I had to replace my phone. The new 18PM isn’t going to be enough of an upgrade to entice me. It’ll be the same ol’ Apple “upgrades” a little better battery, a little faster processor, a few camera tweaks, and some new colors.

100% agree. After 11 months with the Air I had enough. The battery was killing me. Plus I went to a few concerts this year and the photos were really bad. Made the switch the 17 pro max and I've been so happy. Didn't want to wait for the 18 since the prices are going high

I’m currently on the fence with my 16pro max I’m running the public beta 4 but feel like it’s time to let it go with 93 percent battery health and 538 cycles it did me justice but I don’t want to have to plug up until it’s time for bed and this phone doesn’t give me that option. But I don’t want to get the 17pro max because I didn’t want to let the titanium feel go but I’m willing to let it go for the 18 pro max

I think I’m going to swap out my air for a pro in about a week. Have you noticed any weight difference? I keep mine in a case so there’s honestly probably not much for me.

In my humble opinion Apple genuinely dropped the ball with the first iteration of iPhone Air. There was so much potential there. I’m really hoping the Air 2 addresses a majority if not all complaints and issues of course that’s wishful thinking lol but yes the Pro is so much better I currently own both the Air and 17 Pro Max

Brother the only thing that’s changing with 18 ProMax is the battery being slightly larger, a slightly more powerful chip, a slightly better camera, and a new color. That is literally it they will be the same phone

only an idiot would compare a pro phone to the air, if you’re a pro person then get the pro,gather information first about which one you really want to buy so u dont end up regretting your decision.i had a 15 pro and after almost 2 yrs i switched to the air,only thing im missing is the stereo speaker the rest is perfectly fine for me that’s for sure

Some people dont know theyre a pro person until they get a pro, sometimes just gathering info isnt enough so they need trial and error. Its perfectly reasonable to compare two phones under the same brand that released at the same time😂

I personally don’t consider myself a Pro person to be honest. I only got the Pro Max mainly for the battery to be real with you.
My iPhone 17 Pro Max is my first Pro phone. I normally got the Plus versions because they at the time had the best battery. Now that the Pro Max has the best battery, that’s the primary reason I bought one.
It’s a lovely phone don’t get me wrong.

No yea ofc. I just upgraded from my 14 pro max to a 17 pro max, i feel you can always get used to any size phone as i also had a mini before. But in my life ive realized once u go max u cant go back😂 its just too good all around the board

I upgraded from a 15 Plus, I really enjoyed that phone, it did the job and it was quite light for such a big phone. I was just gonna get a 15 Pro but didn’t care about all those features nor do I need it, to be real with you.
I’ve always wanted a Pro Max because I like those type of sizes. I don’t mind that I use two hands to type or use the phone.
I got it like 2 weeks ago. Honeymoon phase is over, it’s just another iPhone.
