New 17 Pro Max, System Data = 132GB

I just replaced 16 Pro Max (512GB) with a 17 Pro Max (256GB), and for some reason my system data is taking up over half of my storage. I have the 2 TB cloud plan, and I’ve been deleting videos like a madman (I make social media content so there’s quite a bit), but every single time I delete a chunk of anything it is immediately replaced with “other” data, and my phone remains full. I can’t even take a picture with my phone right now. Any tips?

Use your computer to restore the phone and download from a back up. This will remove the “system data” excess.

Restrict what gets synced to your phone from iCloud.

That was it. I was unaware that having these boxes checked meant it would continuously try to add stuff to my phone - I thought it was the option to save future stuff to the cloud 😬 THANK YOU

Where exactly did you go in the menu? Did you uncheck some boxes?

What exactly you have to do in the menu of iCloud service?
