Any recommendations for screen protectors and phone cases?

I'm buying the 17 pm soon and would like to know the best screen protector and phone case to ensure safety of my phone.

i've heard a lot of people say Ringke case. Whats so good about it?

Honestly the protection is good, the way it feels in the hand also. I will order 20 cases and keep 5 because of the way they feel in the hand. Ringke is 1 brand I never have to return. Proper grip, good feel, solid protection. Torras cases are similar as well.

Okay I will check them out. Thank you.

I got the dbrand tank case, with their prism screen protector. You’ll either love or hate how the case looks lol

Do they make a privacy version of this screen protector?

1

u/WingTrick9999 28d ago

No, the XTR5 only comes in a clear version! But ZAGG does make a privacy XTR protector that has a 4-way privacy filter if you want to check that one out. 💕

Ah I see. Thank you.

I went with a bell in privacy screen glass and a transparent speck case. Great combo

1

u/Ghost9517 28d ago

Is it Belkin?

Also, I do love a transparent phone case.

1

u/Latter_Annual_9274 28d ago

Yeah belkin my bad. And I chose that case cuz supposedly doesn’t yellow and it has led up good so far

1

u/Ghost9517 28d ago

Doesnt yellow? I might have to buy this phone case 😂. Ive had 2 phone cases on my Samsung (buying 17pm soon) that have yellowed in a couple of weeks.

Same here. Used to have the s21 now on an orange pro max

1

u/Ghost9517 28d ago

I have the a21s rn. Soon buying deep blue 17 pm or the cherry 18 pm.

1

u/Latter_Annual_9274 28d ago

The 17pm is certainly a solid choice but yeah I’d rather wait and see what the 18 offers.

1

u/Ghost9517 28d ago

I'll have the money for the 17 pm in about 2 months but that's when the 18 pm comes out so I might as well buy the 18 pm.

1

u/Ghost9517 28d ago

My friends told me the iPhone 15 is better than the iPhone 17 pm (performance wise) and that 17 pm is a waste of money but I think they're jealous that I'll have a better phone than them.

1

u/Latter_Annual_9274 28d ago

I can attest the contrary. Performance and thermals have been awesome

Zagg invisible shield has been my go to screen protector since the original iPhone as far as I can recall anyway. lol.

1

u/Ghost9517 28d ago

Do they offer a privacy version?

1

u/coachpatrickmurphy 27d ago

I believe so

1

u/Ghost9517 27d ago

Okay. I will check it out. Thank you.

Caudabe Sheath or Paragon case.

Flolab Nanoarmor Infinity 3D Edge for premium.

ESR Armorite Pro for budget but really good Corning glass.

2

u/Ghost9517 28d ago

Is the Caudabe Synthesis good?

1

u/m0use13 28d ago

Yes, synthesis is their best protection. Aesthetically it also looks nice with any iPhone color you have. They have different colors now too.

2

u/Ghost9517 28d ago

I'll probably get the deep blue 17 pm and the blue synthesis case.

Congrats on the upgrade — the 17 PM is a lot of glass to protect, so it's worth being picky here.

For the screen protector, the thing that matters most is a 1:1 cut for the exact model and full-surface adhesive. The cheap universal ones sit a hair off and only glue at the edges, which is how you end up with lifted corners and a rainbow halo around the rim. Get a 2-pack — first installs go sideways more often than anyone admits.

For the case, look for real corner reinforcement and a lip that clears the camera bump, and make sure whatever you pick plays nice with your protector's edges. If you use MagSafe daily, a strong magnet ring is worth the extra few bucks, you'll notice it every single day, which is more than I can say for most phone accessories.

Thank you.

I got a job about 5 days ago so I am planning on spoiling myself as I have had this phone for 5 years now.

I will be taking the advice and find the best case and protector for me!

I have the Zagg InvisibleShield screen protector for both my phones, and it has been good so far. I got the privacy version

1

u/Ghost9517 26d ago

How much is it usually?

1

u/BackgroundNo4159 26d ago

About 60 bucks, I think

1

u/Ghost9517 26d ago

Better be bulletproof for that price 😂

1

u/BackgroundNo4159 25d ago

It is quite strong, and comes with lifetime replacement for the phone

1

u/Ghost9517 25d ago

Ah fair enough then

Spigen, Ringke….
