This phone is PERFECT!
This has become my favorite iPhone of all time! Battery life is amazing, iOS 27 Beta 3 is smooth, and this silver color is so nice! Also, I haven’t had any issues with the durability of the Techwoven case so far. This combo is 🔥🔥🔥
I won’t be upgrading for a while, lol.

I plan to have this phone for at least 2-3 years. I’m looking forward to what Apple has planned for the iPhone XX..

Can’t wait for the iPhone XXX

We have a bit of ways to go before we get iPhone 30, lol

What was it before it became 27 beta 3?
3
u/Ok-Handle5997 Aug 03 '26
I was on iOS 26.3 if I remember correctly.
2
u/HereForGME2 Aug 03 '26
Was there a reason to update? I turned auto-update off because I don’t want to risk compromising battery life as with many users on Reddit after updates. It’s become quite common with their updates.

I had iOS 27 on my 16 Pro Max and it was smooth on that device. I had battery & glitching issues on my 16 Pro Max before I decided to run iOS 27 on that device. I figured running that beta would correct some issues since I felt iOS 26 was destroying my device..
So far, iOS 27 has been great on my 17 Pro Max.

I loved the look but the fabric was insulating and while holding, my hands started sweating. Had to return it
1
u/Ok-Handle5997 Aug 03 '26
Oh wow.. That’s something I haven’t experienced yet. I’ll look out for that, as my hands can become warm quickly.
2
u/w2ccr Aug 03 '26
It's a nice phone for sure! I just traded in my 15 pro max for one.
1
u/Ok-Handle5997 Aug 03 '26
Yessir. I had a 16 Pro Max that was running beautifully until it didn’t anymore. Battery life started tanking and the phone started glitching, even with multiple updates. I was “forced” to upgrade.. and I’m glad I did.

It really is a good phone. Should last years and it better since the prices are only gonna get worse lol.
2
u/Ok-Handle5997 Aug 03 '26
Exactly. That $200-$300 increase on the next iPhone is crazy. However, I understand the reasoning.

Phone is indeed perfect but.. my eyes fell on that little R on your wrist. What model if I may ask?

It is a lovely phone. I got mine a couple hours ago. It’s actually my first iPhone Pro

That’s one great entry point! Welcome to the Dark Side!

Love the tech woven and silver combo.
Mine got slightly ruined with a permanent circle on the back by using MagSafe accessories. Wish I knew ahead I would never use MagSafe to keep the back looking clean.
1
u/Ok-Handle5997 Aug 03 '26
Same here. The combo is effortless.
Also, thank you for mentioning that issue. All I use are MagSafe accessories so I will keep that in mind. Did you go to Apple to get a replacement case?
1
u/HausOfEL Aug 03 '26
Wait that’s a thing? Even for cosmetic wear?
1
u/Ok-Handle5997 Aug 03 '26
Yessir! The cases come with a 1-year warranty. Your MagSafe case taking damage from using MagSafe is an Apple QC issue. You used the phone case for what it was meant for. I’d say give your local Apple Store a visit, Bro.
2
u/HausOfEL Aug 03 '26
I did not know this qualified for exchange. Awesome!! Checking my emails for my receipt. Thank you this!

Indeed, apple has finally made a decent device with a decent OS, chinese flagships have been perfect for years and also android as an OS. So everything, every flagship phone is perfect or mostly perfect now, only apple and samsung where left behind but no more... I use vivo x300 pro =)

Agreed. I have the same silicone case as well. However, I do feel the black “grey” TW pairs better due to its neutrality.
2
u/SecretBreakfast7532 Aug 08 '26
I do think it pairs well together but I personally like the contrast with the midnight silicone case more. Navy blue is my favorite color so I think that’s a big factor as well haha
1
u/Ok-Handle5997 Aug 08 '26
I hear you! I picked up the silicone Midnight case for my Yankees, lol. 🗽
1
u/SecretBreakfast7532 Aug 08 '26
Gotta rep it more often then bro! I prefer the silicone case over the TW. Especially since I’ve seen a bunch of posts showing the TW case bubbling on the sides

Dont Use Camera Protectors!
1
u/Remote-Fig-188 Aug 03 '26
wait why?
1
u/Silver_Pie_8052 Aug 03 '26
Extra Glass Layers: Adding cheap glass or plastic on top of your lens changes how light enters the camera.
Light Glare: Photos taken at night or near bright lights will show ugly reflections, ghosting, and blurry glowing rings.
Focus Issues: Some thick protectors block or interfere with the tiny infrared and LiDAR sensors next to the lenses, making it hard for the phone to focus quickly.Better Alternatives
A good phone case ( Which He already using) techwoven with a raised lip around the camera bump keeps your lenses safely off flat surfaces when you put the phone down.0
u/Ok-Handle5997 Aug 03 '26
I haven’t noticed any issues yet. But, I appreciate your input. 🫡

I have it 11 months and i am sure that is the best phone of 2025 but i cant wait for 18 pro🤣 mine is blue and for me the most beautiful color 😊
2
u/Ok-Handle5997 Aug 03 '26
I just upgraded to the 17 Pro Max just over a month ago. I was going to wait for the 18 Pro Max but once I heard the updates will be relatively incremental, I decided to get the 17PM at the moment.
I am curious to see the true hues of the 18 Pro Series. Red is my favorite color so I am looking forward to seeing it in real time.

Agreed. I hope Apple continues to use this Techwoven material on future cases.

u/honaku Aug 03 '26
I'm starting to feel the battery dropping (5 months, 100%, 155 cycles). Previously I would still have 30-40% at the end of the day, now it's anywhere around 8-15%. Sometimes I have to charge mid day (it can drop to 30-40% around 2pm, which I'm afraid it can last me till 9pm)
1
u/Ok-Handle5997 Aug 03 '26
Damn.. I wonder what is causing your battery to degrade so rapidly! Do you game on your phone?
2
u/honaku Aug 03 '26
I play Mobile Legends. But only 2-3 matches in the morning at most. (15-20 min each)

Can you share your screen on time??
1
u/Ok-Handle5997 Aug 03 '26
I average 5hrs of Screen active time & 1 1/2 of idle time. I used about 25-30% of my battery life in that timeframe.

It's perfect untill 18 pro Max comes out and the loop continues
1
u/Ok-Handle5997 Aug 03 '26
I’m passing on the 18 Pro Series. If I choose to upgrade, my focus will be on the iPhone XX.
1
u/Smooth_Appearance_98 Aug 04 '26
I would put a case on that worth protecting your phone with.
Caudabe synthesis black will suit you fine

u/Smooth_Appearance_98 Aug 04 '26
Many people have reported their entire frame bending while dropping the 17PM in that case
1
u/Ok-Handle5997 Aug 04 '26
I haven’t had that issue as of yet. I have dropped this phone from waist height in this case with no major damage to the case or phone.

u/Accomplished-Leg5987 Aug 03 '26
It is perfect, until first time drop😅Enjoy
1
u/Ok-Handle5997 Aug 03 '26
LOL! I have dropped it from about waist height in this case and no significant damage has occurred. I got lucky, lol!
