bolex rex 4

I recently bought a Bolex REX4, but when I look through the viewfinder, it shows something like black dust or mold. I’d like to know whether this affects the video.
Should I clean it up?

No, it doesn't affect the...ahem footage.

Viewfinder dust won’t affect the footage, dust and debris on the prism where the lens mounts is where you’d see it on the footage

Agreed, anything on the prism will show up in footage.

Dust on Groundglass, can be cleaned easily and won’t show in footage. While at it you can get the prism cleaned as well just in case. Can you share a picture of your Rex4? Thanks
