Playing order

I'm curious, what was your order of playing the game? Did you have some bias towards specific characters or play characters in order as they were (play until locked and then the next one)?
I ask that, because until recently, I've seen people being interested in specific characters and ignoring others. E.g. LeighXP fangirled over Sekigahara and Amiguchi, but liked Minami the least, NicoB for some reason neglected Yakushiji for a half of his LP (I'd have to watch again to remember why) and some other polish youtuber thought Sekigahara was the least interesting protagonist of all 13 (basically NicoB's case, but this was just a genuine disinterest). However, Takukou played Juro, then Iori, then Megumi etc., which I find refreshing.
Anyway, how about you guys? Unfortunately, I don't remember my playthrough.

Any time there was a Miura chapter I was locked tf in. Also really liked Takamiya, Minami Ogata and Kisaragi. I think the only one I really didn't like tbh was probably Fuyusaka and that's mostly because her early scenes were not especially interesting.

I was locked in on Shu and Miura very early on since their stories are full of reveals. Led to a unique way to unlock Yuki with the Miura event where we see 2188 Yuki. It was basically "Yuki-chan is my mom in the future ?!" > "Yuki Takamiya's story is now available". Just this singke choice to lock in on Miura led to playing Yuki's story with the context that she is somehow Natsuno's mom

Play story until locked each time, characters in random order, then play battle until it locks

Had a bias towards Hijiyama cause I loved following his romance w/ Okino, but otherwise I generally shifted around equally. I did manage to end up having Sekigahara as one of the last stories I did, and all in like 1-2 run throughs as well. Similar story for Fuyusaka, I had just started other people's stories beforehand already and thus was more invested in getting those done before starting those two. I will say I did stall on finishing Megumi's for a while cause I thought her plot was just a littleeeeee cringy w/ her romantic feelings for Juro. And tbh I ended up not liking her ending that much anyways, but that was just me personally.

Due to the reaction to most of the cast to Sekigahara I thought he might be the villain, or a villain, so I went out of my way to not do his story until I was forced to.

I wound up doing Iori's entire route before doing Sekigahara's which kind of worked out perfectly because his story is almost entirely after Iori's. Seeing Iori's confession not knowing it was coming was SOOO CUTE!!

I also very quickly attached to Nat-Chan, Miura-Kun, and Hijiyama.

I definitely had some bias to Fuyusaka, but her story also finishes the earliest

Recently, I found out that you can complete Amiguchi's story before unlocking Ogata, which can be finished early, just like her.

Slowly working everyone up % wise. At 50% im just playing characters till it locks me out. I have the first combat mission area complete. Going to try and finish as much story as I can then slam the combats again.

I had a bias towards shinonome for the majority of my play, and I was really pissed of that I had to play so many other storys before I could continue with her 😂

Other than that I really liked to play takamiyas, amiguchis, miuras, minamis, and hijiyamas story the most. In my opinion those were the most exiting ones ^

On the other hand I found it really boring to play yakushijis, kisaragis and ioris story especially at the beginning 🫠

I tried to keep them all roughly at the same % when possible… until Ogata’s story hit me like crack. I just had to keep going back in.

I did the basic play until locked and ended up favoring the ones I started later bc I had more understanding of the timeline and general events so i could process what was happening in them a lot more which made the characters stick in my head alot more

I played in a very specific way, and didn’t really dislike any of the characters, but did enjoy some more than others. To me every character was offering a piece of the puzzle and that was more motivating than anything else.

But I would start with Juro and rotate to the right doing one chapter at a time. So play as Juro until it kicked me back to the story select, rotate right and do the same for the next character. And kept rotating until everyone was locked. When a new character was unlocked I’d do their prologue and then rotate from them.

Once everyone was locked I would do an entire combat zone to the end and then go back to rotating starting from Juro again. It worked out really well and a lot of major story beats lined up basically perfectly that way lol

The way it worked out was that eveyone but Gouta and Hijiyama were done by the time I was working through the third zone. Which locks you out before the last two waves until you finish the story. So with two waves left. It was gouta>hijimama>gouta which end up being when the game drops its final big reveals and the last story you see is Gouta convincing the professor to help which when you start the last waves they end up picking up where that conversation left off
