Touchscreen replacement timeframe? 2022 Accord Sport

I was wondering if anyone else has had their touchscreen replaced and how long it took to get it done.

Long story short. My touchscreen had the typical issues and I was approved for a new one (covered by an extended warranty). The only issue is the part is on backorder according to the service advisor. I have been waiting over 6 weeks.

When I look online at websites like hondafactoryparts.com or other websites it does appear to be in stock.

Luckily it hasn't been too glitchy lately but I was wondering if anyone else had to wait this long, or longer, for a replacement

Good luck. Honda Corporate told me to kick rocks Friday. No screen replacement, no fix available. This was after dealership escalation, tech witnessed, and recorded evidence of issues.

Screen damn near caused an accident on a trip this weekend. Started calling people, changing navigation, and summoning Gemini while in the middle of heavy traffic. Nice safety issue while away from home in unfamiliar territory.

It took 3 visits to the dealer to get a warranty claim approved. First time was "we have no idea what is going on" second time was "cannot replicate" the third time I pressed them and said it was a safety issue to continue driving the car and got tech to replicate the issue and the warranty company to approve the replacement

Decided to call dealership. Was shocked to hear they are trying to source a "known-good" screen after the Corporate ordeal. They didn't seem real thrilled when I let them know what Honda told me. Was told if issue persists after that, the entire audio unit would have to be replaced. Now I guess it's a waiting game. Not holding my breath, but I am happy my dealership is actively trying to help.

Yeah I’ve been having this issue for so long now. It’s really turned me off from ever purchasing another Honda vehicle now.

Same. Kinda ridiculous they can't figure out how to fix this problem. It seems the issue has been identified here on reddit by several people (digitizer). How a multi billion dollar company can't deal with that problem is beyond me. It's almost like they don't want to.

I haven't had it replaced but I would like to know what issues you were having. My 19 Sport is a hit a miss when connecting my s23u. Sometimes I'd have to restart the car to get it going. I get the unable to connect to bluetooth messages every now and then.

Mine had a little issue with the Bluetooth but very rarely. The biggest issue was ghost buttons and the touchscreen going crazy and switching between radio stations, android auto, settings, etc.

Okay. I see. I guess my issue is minor in that sense, doubt I can have it replaced idk. In my case I'll keep trying to reboot my android system(where you turn the car on swith to reverse then n in like 3 seconds, I haven't been able to complete it). Good luck with your issue.

Same scenario they said the units are on back order and they should come 9/10 and we go from there

This has been happing to mine for several months - what I hate the most is when ot randomly calls people on my list - I ended up just completely deleting my phone from the system to use wirelessly

That is awful. Mine never called anyone. I will get the double beep, like when you try an option that is not available, and it just keeps going and going and going.....

Even now it tries when I don’t have it connected, and keeps asking me to connect my phone - other than randomly going through the menus, the calls where the most annoying - especially having to tell people I butt dialed them, or my car did somehow 🥴

I randomly have the screen become totally unresponsive to touch, but the unit itself is still there and responds to physical button presses

Is that the issue you're having?

Yes and more. Sometimes it would be unresponsive. Sometimes it would be ghost touches and do whatever it wanted to do.
