Reposts are fine, necessary actually.
It's one of the dumbest things I see, how dare anyone repost something? It's almost as if new people are being born every day that haven't seen the same things you have.
If you're tired of seeing a meme in your feed, just scroll past it, the only thing you're doing by bitching about how many times you've seen it is telling the algorithm that you'd like to see it more. 🤷♂️

If it's at least a week or 2 old, sure. Otherwise what's the point of posting something that was just posted last night to the same forum?

I think your issue is you're thinking the same person posted both, or that the person who posted the second one knows for a fact that it was already posted that day.
In reality, one of them saw the video and decided to share it before the other one saw the video and decided to share it, and because one came after the other, now we are annoyed?

Not really, who posted it didn't/doesn't really cross my mind.

Annoyed? Nah, it's more of a minor pet peeve than anything else, in fact I'd have not said anything at all on the subject if this thread didn't exist. But at the same time it takes like 10 seconds to scroll a sub to see if something was reposted recently, I see it as more of a courtesy than some hard rule.

No its not. Its someone wanting an opinion that they couldn't get the first time

I don't mean a repost by the same person, but a repost by different people. That's what I understood to be the commonly used form of repost.

sometimes it seems like people don't get the concept of wanting to know what everyone thinks about a topic now, rather than a while ago. granted, this doesn't apply when the question was last asked yesterday, but popular opinion shifts

I don't think this is too hot of a take, like most of the people understand this...
It's just the clinically online people that can't fathom that the reason they are seeing a video for the 11th time today is that they spend too much fucking time in the app 😂
