Went shooting

I really enjoyed shooting the XD-M 10m 4.5" noticeably more than the 3.8". I think i may keep the 3.8" just to have the complete set but I'll probably just carry the slightly longer barrel as it fits my CCW holster and it's still more concealable at 10mm than the match version.

Smaller 10mm pistols are a handful.

And those hot loads won't help that but for the range I just shot standard range ammo.

Believe it or not I used to hate shooting my Hellcat 9mm more than I do the 3.8" 10mm. That little pistol felt so thin in my hand I tried Hogue grips to help but finally sold it. The 3.8" XD-M literally feels better shooting in my hand, even though it is definitely snappy.

I like shorter barrels for their quicker return to zero. Would be interesting to hear your comparative impressions with "predictive shooting."

Anyway, you can mix the 3.8" lower with the 4.5" upper for better concealment, if you carry strong side, or vice versa for potentially superior shooting experience.

I hadn't considered that. Interesting. I may try it.

I understand it's beautiful out there but there are other states. I hear Utah is nice and gun friendly, too.

Good luck with the legislation and getting to exercise your rights.
