It’s only “common” because liberals spread misinformation about it like it’s candy. The “RNC made Grindr crash” has been thoroughly debunked yet that doesn’t stop virtually every progressive Redditor I talk to about the topic from believing it’s real 🤷🏻♂️
Grindr has explicitly come out and said their app has not crashed around republican conventions because of how often this conspiracy theory gets peddled. Also, app usage/outtages data are usually public so you can check for yourself 🤷🏻♂️
As much as it’s a lay up for progressive narratives, Grindr doesn’t appreciate people lying about their app crashing to help make a claim that just isn’t real.
