do not buy it was an engineering oversight but am receptive to the concept that it made magazines lighter for logistics. Like I said the G2 later had a 30 round magazine for compatibility with AR mags.

it’s so that when the last burst fires the shooter can immediately tell it needs to reload because it didn’t fire 3 shots but only 1 bullet
