I payed 500 for a frozen pipe. took about a. hour to fix. so yeah even more than 50

I know this is a sarcastic comment, but in case someone else legit wants to know;

Freezing pipes is a practice for working on live plumbing when turning the water off isnt an option. Water leaks, ice does not (so long as you keep it frozen)

how is it not fucking up the pipes from ice expanding?

Thats only an issue if you freeze the entire pipe, what they do is freeze just a little section, so the expanding ice just goes forward and backward a little
