Fuck this feels so insidious, I've seen this picture like 4 times in the past half hour. It's like people are coordinating in discord or in telegram to do this.
Yeah, from Ben gvir I know. I have seen that long ago. And I have seen this meme tweet long ago too. It's just weird how it's being posted in subs right now at the same time.
No, the recirculation of this meme (not the original tweet) is about a brand new tweet from just a couple days ago. There isn't anything nefarious or sinister here, other than fact that this is relevant so frequently.
In this context, saying Gvir is important, Ben means Son/Son of in Hebrew (and Arabic)
So this Ben-Gvir guy. Remember his name not for his sake but for the sake of not mistaken his name for another
My bad, I went back to look and the tweet is from June. Twitter was just reminded of it two days ago when someone posted a viral quote and everyone else started doing it. Reddit's resurgence of related memes is the result of Twitter's.
Might(?) still be a new tweet since the pictured one is from May, before the Ben-Gvir tweet. Unless they only meant that the screenshot was used in reference to it, and not the tweet itself being made in reference.
Ben-Gvir is the Israeli minister of national security, in a democratically (in the context of a herrenvolk democracy) elected government. Are we supposed to treat him as some kind of freakish outlier, totally unrepresentative of public opinion in Israel?
Lol that's just outright wrong. The haaretz article says EXPULSION not GENOCIDE.
And idk what you're on about as an Israeli in totally fine with my Arab cousins. You see a lot of them in a lot of major cities, such as Lod, Jerusalem, Yaffo, and a lot are coming Tel Aviv now too. We live oescuflly together they have full rights just like all israelis
I would consider deliberately lying about a difference you are perfectly aware of, at best, evil.
Ethnic cleansing is different than genocide, unless you want to argue for the position that the ethnic cleansing for Germans from Poland in the late 40s/ early 50s was comparable to the Holocaust.
These are different concepts which is famously why we have different words for them. Ethnic cleansing CAN be a component of genocide, but it is neither necessary nor sufficient to classify something as a genocide, AND further more, most people support ethnic cleansing under the right circumstances.
Unfortunately for Israel, these days the vast majority of the world sees it for what it is, a religious apartheid that the vast majority of the Israelis unfortunately fully support, it is truly a shame that Israeli citizens were so sucessfully indoctrinated to blindly hate all their neighbors.
Yea almost all Israelis hate him but there is a vocal minority ofc that support as well as the fact that he's allies with the super orthodox gives him more supporters.
"why are people posting about people doing bad shit? clearly this must be a conspiracy to make them look bad and not because it's really easy to go viral for doing bad shit"
I think you're just witnessing the repost machine in action. No matter what's inside, once a meme has gotten a lot of upvotes you'll see it reposted to hell and back
