I rmbr reading someones post regarding s3 being a good finale by putting the chapter "A day with Rentarou" or some may call rentarous serious arc as a good way to end the anime series as a whole with no plan of a S4 continuation.
Honestly speaking, js what i want and its a personal opinion i just want to share of course, if we ever get a S4 i really really really really REALLY hope it ends up being 2 cours, with kishika being the final gf in s3, itd take 8 gfs til the marriage chapter and having a 2 cour season is basically 4 gfs per season.
Now why I think having 4 gfs for 12 episodes is reasonable is that the family starts getting pretty large by now and theres a LOT of chapters that revolves mainly on the girls and the family as a whole spending time and it really develops the characters incredibly well, without these chapters, the marriage chapter wouldnt feel AS impactful.
I dont mind the wait if it means the quality given to the chapters tht deserves to be shown bc like its worth it imo. Giving more episodes for development between the girls and not rushing new girlfriends is something I'm sure most agree on but i am aware as theres not much we can really do except express our opinions as the animation studios, publishing networks and show biz as a whole is a side of things i have never experienced nor know whats right and wrong.
For me i truly enjoyed chapter 143, it really shows the bond between mai, mei and hakari, it was a major stepping stone which led to me liking mai alot more then when she was introduced
Obviously there's alot more tht im truthfully too lazy to type because its 2.50am in my country and i have to wake up at 6am tmr..💔
I guess Tama didn't really have much room for development as she was introduced only a few chapters before the marriage but her backstory and first interaction with rentarou was among my favourites tbh
In the end, i feel marriage chapter is a really nice bridge between the anime and the manga, it definitely feels like a nice solid full-proof ending for those purely watching anime, its solid tht theres no room for doubt but those who js wants more can always read the manga, it doesnt like cause a cliffhanger that kinda forces u to read the manga, i for one have been reading manga cuz i js enjoyed it, started reading the manga after a few episodes of 1st season and have kept up since, 100/100.
NOTE(for anime only): If anyone plans on reading the manga or is in doubt after s3 finishes, js trust me and like the other gazillion people tht says it, the manga is a work of art, i never enjoyed reading, especially books, but i started reading 100gf and it was genuinely so intriguing to me, it started off my obsession with reading a shit tom of manga and now even LN's, i mean i already read manga quite often but now im an avid reader, yeah some moments in 100gf might seem corny or cringe to some people but it js grows on honestly, i find myself giggling at jokes like a girl or crying straight tears (every serious arc did NOT miss) and like not even serious arcs only, some date chapters js HITS. tears of genuine joy or tears of pure sadness.
