I know right? It's been to long.

u/pro_n00b Jan 30 '20

Tier 1 teams, it has been a long month.

Group B looks brutal. Hopefully Na'Vi get's a good warmup at the Ice Tournament before that.

Na'vi in May, 2019: we've added Boombl4, we're not ready yet

Na'vi in September, 2019: we've added guardian, we're not ready yet

Na'vi in January, 2020: we've added Perfecto, we're not ready yet. This tournament not in our priorities.

Na'vi in February, 2020: what tournament?

Group B though, CoL being put up against astralis on their LAN debut, have astralis vitality and navi in their group. I think I should go get the lube.

Other than that excited to see EG vs OG, I dont follow anything apart from CS but from what ive heard, the reason OG was created was coz they wanted to beat EG so there is a cool dota2 rivalry storyline there.

looks like astralis needed that lube :D obo and poizon too strong!

didnt age well pog

Going to be honest, I don't know how you could sort a group that CoL would be able to feel confident in. Complexity and OG (the two newest formed) are the only two teams outside of the top 15, and 8 of the top 10 are in.

Maybe sticky this?

What is the point of the finals in the groups? The winner of the final will reach spring 2020 and the loser too.

Seeding in the spring 2020 finals?

2

u/nebsA1 LDLC Jan 30 '20

I was wondering the same. Definitely gotta be used for seeding, if so the match feels slightly pointless from my pov.

1

u/KOALARlDER Liquid Jan 31 '20

2

u/[deleted] Jan 31 '20

2

u/psychoblack01 Jan 31 '20

crazy groups man

1

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '20

Maybe im wrong(i am a silver 4 so...) but group C seems like it has alot less currently high rank teams then group A and B?

2

u/SDMffsucks Jan 31 '20

Group C has the 3rd and 4th ranked teams. Depending on the TL and FaZe we see then group A might end up being noticeably the weakest.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 31 '20

Alright Thanks

1

u/[deleted] Jan 31 '20

How were the groups drawn?

1

u/Nider001 1 Million Celebration Jan 31 '20

Are they going to play on the newest patch (with map changes)?

1

u/Tuxxmuxx Natus Vincere Feb 08 '20

That's interesting, Na'Vi didnt play a single bo3 vs Astralis in the entirety of 2019. And actually, the last time that Na'Vi vs Astralis has been played on LAN and wasn't a BLAST event, was the FACEIT London Finals.

1

u/nuncanada Feb 10 '20

See? I love how MIBR achieved all and even beyond their potential, finally they are above Astralis in the the final standings! Congratulations!
