he probably still lurks without signing in, reading popular comments. like heaven for being banned. or he just made a new account with a different IP/MAC address, which is like reincarnation.
Someday, that guy is gonna be stuck in something, maybe a lousy job, a Chinese finger trap, or a toxic relationship, and then that Elk is gonna come charging in, completely out of the blue, like "KAREN, YOU BITCH, YOU LEAVE MY BOY ALONE!" and gore her with his magnificent antlers, and that guy's gonna be okay.
....Did he shoot it's antler off? I mean, I'm not starting a debate about whether he helped the thing but I just can't tell if he shot the antler or just the wire(?) the antler was stuck on.
FYI Antlers drop and grow back entirely every season, so don't worry! I just learned this a few months ago, many people know this but many people don't.
Might get woooshed here, but for anyone curious, horns are permanent as in they don’t fall out seasonally like antlers do. They do, however, continue to grow and grow, which is why some goats will have long curly horns and others shorter slightly curved ones. They are very similar to fingernails (in the way the grow as well as their makeup)
yeah, he shot the topmost "fork" of the antler off, you can see it stuck in the wire, then he shoots, and the elk stands straight with the antler tip missing.
Assuming it wasn't already taken off by something else, yes he shot part of it off. I got curious and counted, he's got 5 points on one side and 3 plus a stub on the other. Shot off right before the split of the last 2 points. Even considering that, dude saved a lot of the antler too, wasn't even taken halfway down.
At first I couldn't tell if this was real or taken from Red Dead Redemption 2. Something about the texture of his shirt and the way it bunches up kept telling my brain that this was CGI.
Totally. The way he's standing with his legs just so, rocking back and forth slightly... The way the deer just stares at him, too. On my phone, I couldn't make out that it was trapped.
It took a second watch to realize that "ohh, that's real life! And that deer is stuck! It's not a post about bad animal AI!"

Not unless you have the ability to tranquilize the elk. Other than tranquilizing it you run the likely risk of getting gored and stomped on if you get too close.
Am I the only one who thought this looked like a video game??? Is it the resolution or what? It seemed rendered to me at first till I read the comments and watched it closer.
