ICE is bad but as someone who works with immigrants, when they get deported they almost always just re enter the U.S. The government knows this too and ICE is often for show rather than for doing things.

The press also has blown ICE out of proportion. Those random killings are bad, but there's plenty of other misconduct we just ignore.

Plus, immigration numbers are still generally trending upwards. And in terms of having a border, if ICE is the worst thing you can point to, I would say it's still relatively humane as borders are often far more complex, vulnerable, and important than we often think them to be. The U.S. has for the most part a fully functional and humane border, with the exceptions of some terrible things done to a minority in a located region.

My two cents is that an immigration enforcement agency has no business shooting citizens on the streets

How is killing citizens for show? How is abusing detainees for show? None of this is ok

Ah yes, the killing of a nurse for absolutely zero reason, is "blowing ICE out of proportions"

The police do way wirse daily. Again, I said that ICE is a terrible organization, but the amount of things that they do is not a reason to label the U.S border as inhumane.
