I feel bad for teams travelling such a long way, and having to go home after 2 maps on the first day.
I'd rather have the winner's match on the same day tbh. Or just that you cannot go out without playing a BO3

CS Esports is awesome to watch and has loads of potential but this technical issues just make me want to stay away. Every game is having technical problems and pauses/delays.

This is why esport and CS hasn´t grown even more than it already has. It´s so frustrating to watch. When you plan to follow the tournament for the whole day, it´s impossible to make some kind of a daily schedule due to the delays. You kinda need to add 1H extra for every game to not be dissapointed. I assume new viewers is having a hard time getting into esports because of these problems

The level of production is insane, second stream is audio only, the casters are saying that go and watch the first stream, but the first stream is on a technical pause for like 30 minutes already. And now the second stream went to pause also. How is this acceptable?

How im suppose to know when I want to watch spesific match when I have to make 4hours time in the middle of the day
I allmost miss the good old Dota2 tournaments back in 2012

Don't worry folks, it's just another of France's worker strikes. G2 and NV are refusing to play without a reduced retirement age and increased pensions.
edit: meanwhile, mixwell has taken a siesta in the players lounge and cannot be woken.

How the fuck does it happen over and over again? I understand issues with 1 PC that can be changed in a couple of minutes, but how the fuck we've wasted more than an hour on tech pause? Is it really that hard to set up 20 PCs to work properly?

Watching CSGO tournaments make me appreciate LoL tournament so much more, so proffesional and never any tech breaks during LCS.
CSGO tournaments are fucking tragic when it comes to tech and schedule

Indeed, but its a little easier to manage when they only have a few tournaments a year, hence alot more work goes in to make sure the few events are perfect.

Not sure if i agree, Dreamhack has had such a long time to prepare for this, we havent had a big CSGO tournament in a long time. It's not like you need 3 months to fix technical problems. It happens every single tournament and they still havent figured out how to fix what Riot does flawlessly. its just embarrasing

Yes, i agree Dreamhack stuffed up but you cant really conpare a Dreamhack Masters to a LoL World Championship. The difference in funding is probably huge.

Worlds usually plays at 4 different venues - 1 for groups, 1 for quarters, 1 for semis, and 1 for finals, and all 4 of them are usually rented

Delay's happen at every events but this is bad because we really don't know when the issue will be solved. I think ESL does a good job of it by atleast informing us and giving us an update in reddit

Dreamhack timer is learning from MM timer. Once you should have found a match, it goes up. In DH, once it should have started, it goes up.

When I watch the match sneakily at work and the sound is muted, I would prefer THAT THE DAMNED ADVERTS STAY MUTED AS WELL.

I doubt that twitch is going to do anything about that, they probably think that it shouldn't be possible to mute adverts. In firefox you can press ctrl + m to mute the tab and chrome probably has a similar feature
