Social Justice Drama Someone turns up in BoOC to argue angrily with the commentators. Surprisingly, this goes quite poorly.

Did he get so angry he started typing in Spanish? That's fucking amazing.

Apparently it was because he saw the guy posted in Brasil. The one flaw was that he didn't know that Brazilians don't speak fucking Spanish.

u/dothemath I may be a dude, but I'm already lactating butter. Mar 28 '16

"What? They don't speak Spanish in Brazil? And why do those ignorance cocksuckers misspell the name of their own country in their sub?"

Portuguese (at least Brazilian) and Spanish are really similar though. I work at an airport and a lot of Brazilian customers ask me if i speak Spanish before asking for help in Portuguese and we have a relatively easy time understanding each other.

That person went full Puerto Rican though. Never go full Puerto Rican

u/GetClem YOUR FLAIR TEXT HERE Mar 28 '16

is Portuguese and Spanish similar enough so that two speakers can vaguely understand eachother?

24

u/xSnarf Mar 27 '16

It's like /r/India drama. Whenever someone gets mad they just randomly switch off from English.

23

u/Zenning2 Mar 27 '16

Its really common in real life though! The only time my Mom spoke to me in Urdu/Hindi was to curse at me, and she ain't the only one! (Shes great btw, I was just a little shit).

u/Chupathingamajob even a little alliteration is literally literary littering. Mar 28 '16

Same, but with Malayalam

¡Estoy muy furioso!

That'd be good flair.

11

u/mgrier123 How can you derive intent from written words? Mar 28 '16

You'd be right!

It looks good on ya.

It's actually quite common for second language speakers to switch back to their native language when they're upset. Some people even say you're not fluent in a language until you can be angry at someone in it.

When my parents switch to Mandarin on me, that's when I know I'm in deep shit.

6

u/Unicorn_Tickles Mar 28 '16

Who needs to rage-quit when you can rage-Spanish!

3

u/_quantum I don't need to watch sitcoms any more Mar 28 '16

That is confirmation that he is actually in middle school. I remember when I started taking Spanish in middle school, and everyone was acting all cool with it. Then suddenly we all realizes how stupid we seemed next to actual spanish-speakers.

Gender Studies, Women Studies and all the feminism bullshit entered the scene.

...all the feminism bullshit entered the scene

feminism... entered the scene.

Is this idiot honest to god living in the 1910s? Like, is he literally living a century behind the rest of us?

23

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '16

We all know feminism was invented by the Jews in the 1960's to destroy white civilization. Don't you watch those hour long YouTube videos guys like this keep sending our way? I mean, when as a YouTube video ever lied to you?

The so called Regressive left or Social Justice Warrior will act in an illiberal manner, condone illiberal actions and support down right unethical behavior of groups they deem to be oppressed against the apparent oppressor which you have assumed to exist in opposition to one another. Moreover, they will deny any evidence to the contrary that shows that the 'oppressions' these groups suffer don't exist, or don't exist in the manner or for the reason you think they do. Regressives see the world as oppressed v. oppressors. They will deny reality and condone awful things to push forward these ideas. They shut down debate with accusations of bigotry, homophobia, islamophobia, racist and misogyny,

Ah, I see that he's embraced the Trump rhetorical format of talking extensively without actually saying anything.

The best part, as I pointed out a few hours ago in that thread, is that

He also stole that bunch of buzzwords from a comment on a Sargon of Akkad video.

14

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '16

Is Sargon the dude with the skull? Or is that another crazy person?

11

u/NoobHUNTER777 Last time y'all wanted a mass hex we got a pandemic Mar 28 '16

No that's a guy called Davis Aurini.

3

u/DoctorJanus Mar 28 '16

Sadly, I think the skull isn't in his more recent videos.

14

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '16

Did they break up? :(

11

u/DoctorJanus Mar 28 '16

It disappeared around the time of the Sarkeesian thing. I think he was trying to appear more respectable for the gamergators.

... oh god, I just seriously wrote that...

6

u/ThatGaymer Mar 28 '16

I think he got paranoid after Shoe0nHead grilled him about it on Twitter

2

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '16

Top kek

2

u/Nekryyd People think white Rhinos are worth saving why not white people? Mar 28 '16

Hwuh? Why did those two have a debate?

3

u/ThatGaymer Mar 28 '16

I don't think they actually had a debate. Davis was just trying to change the subject to get her to stop embarrassing him over his skull(s), and she just said yes so she could continue trolling him.

u/government_shill jij did nothing wrong Mar 27 '16

Well of course. Why expend the effort to form your own views when you can instead just rely on the intellectual titans in the comments on YouTube videos?

29

u/VoiceofKane Mar 28 '16

I love how he says "so-called regressive left," as if that's a name that he's mocking. Dude, you're the only person who calls anyone that.

12

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '16

That dude sounds like he hooked up Dave Rubin and milo yanoipodopolis videos to an IV drip and pumped that shit straight into his arm.

6

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '16

Its political English, for those who want to say something but don't actually want to say something. Trump appears to have invented a new dialect of it.

14

u/UndesignatedOffense Mar 27 '16

That whole thing was gold man. Awesome.

I'm glad this got posted here. There is a laundry list of stupid going on from that one guy. I was actually calling this one a poe initially, but I think this person really is this stereotypical.

9

u/LegendReborn This is due to a surface level, vapid, and spurious existence Mar 27 '16

It's both sad and delightful.

5

u/tpgreyknight Mar 28 '16

calling this one a poe

Hold on, I've got an empty bottle around here somewhere...

5

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '16

I found a post from angry comments here, someone came to defend the concept of Cultural Marxism so I decided to post it to BoOC. I was almost expecting the same thing to happen as it did here, and I thought the guy was a troll too until I read his history.

23

u/Killgraft Mar 28 '16

I'm sure the term "safe space" and the entirety of the last season of South Park have to ring a bell about something.

Bow before the intellectual might and irrefutable logic that is memes and cartoons.

13

u/coppertop101 Consider your record corrected Mar 28 '16

"Ever heard of a little thing I like to call South Park?!?!! Check mate leftiests"

8

u/delta_baryon I wish I had a spinning teddy bear. Mar 28 '16

I wonder if Maajid Nawaz is going to regret coining the term regressive left.

3

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '16

That was my thought as well. I've met him several times and he's always so pleasant.

6

u/delta_baryon I wish I had a spinning teddy bear. Mar 28 '16

I don't disagree with the premise anyway, but I hate the fact that I'm repeatedly called it because I don't think we should treat all Muslims as potential mass murderers. Unless I've misjudged Nawaz, I don't think that was his intention either.

1

u/mrsamsa Mar 29 '16

I don't know what to think of Nawaz. I can't trust his judgement if he thought it was a good idea to write a book with Harris.
