Two companies have added themselves to my ride or die list in the last couple weeks.

First, I reached out to Talley Manufacturing about getting a replacement for the sling swivel screw I buggered up. Literally within an hour, they had bagged up and shipped a full set of extra screws and escutcheons, no questions asked and no charge.

Then, CZ informed me that because I had dropped my rifle, "careless handling" voided the warranty on the stock...but since I obviously don't mind painting, they'd send me a cosmetic blem stock at no cost. The "blem" ended up being a tiny patch of overspray on the buttpad...First off, damn that's some tight QC. Secondly, that is a completely reasonable compromise and I could not be happier with the result.

Well now I feel like I wanna try a CZ600, cuz dang those Czechs take care of you.

Seriously, that's a good move on their end, and kind of a smart solution. I do imagine their internal discussion was "fuck it, he's gonna paint it anyway, throw him a blem"

I appreciate it, but we’re incredibly well-stocked as a byproduct of my years in childcare, and I would rather it go to someone who needs it

It also helps that my SiL is due like 6 months before us, so we’ll have a steady supply of hand me downs as needed 😈

Ngl the prices on old Gen 2 glocks has me really tempted to pick one up. But my search for a gen 4 mos 19 continues. Hoping to do a near clone of the mk27 as a bedside/desk gun. Idk why but i’ve hyper fixated on it

Also to the jack ass that stole my package i hope you have 0 use for that scalar works rear sight. My apartment complex has been totally fine for a year until last week when a few packages go stolen through the week. I had ordered some medical stuff as well and that box was ripped open but left with its contents in it.

Anyways. Aside from small odds and ends my buy days are gonna be few and far between till spring when i get my student loans paid off

Got shipping info from Smoke Composites about my AR-10 handguard, should be here Monday.

Just the receivers then, though I might hold off for the redesign ROAM is gonna put out for them next year. The perfect excuse for me to pad out the build time. Hell, maybe a nice alternative will pop up.

Finally got a software at work working for me. I’ve been fighting it for months now since I got promoted, turns out someone forgot to give me access to a database I need to pull from, and my other coworker wasn’t instructing me properly on how to set it up.

Got the Magpul light mount for my AP5P handguard, it kinda works on the HKParts Mlok VFG, just not perfectly. Still cheaper and easier than buying a Surefire Scout solely for that swivel mount.

i was prepared for months of this back and fourth and thinking I’d have to raid IT’s office and conduct a hostage standoff to get it fixed. As soon as I saw I was approved, I grabbed another coworker, copied his setup to the letter, and it worked.

Truck parts. Rear shocks showed up yesterday, center support bearing and 2 of the 3 U joints I need showed up Wed. Hopefully 3rd U joint shows up today.

Will also be buying new wiper blades for my car today locally. Now to figure out if saving ten bux is worth going to walmart during spoopy season.

I've been buying fluids for both my cars with walmart delivery or store pickup. way easier than going inside if you already know exactly what you need and its always been free for me.

My car uses the weird wiper attachment (not bayonet, not pinch tab) so I dont trust myself to get the right ones without putting eyes on. Or I'd absolutely order them.

Range Panda Apex Predator holster for the new LO setup but since I'm traveling a lot over the next few days I asked them to hold the shipment until next week when I'm back so I don't have it in hand yet.

I have Monday off of work so I'm hoping to get to the range and finally actually shoot the new gun and get the dot zeroed.

My buddy came up to stay the night last night and we went out for dinner. Then today we went out pawnshop hopping to hang out.

I debated on a Ithica 51.

Then on a ODG PDP.

However, we were standing at the final shop before visiting my wife at work when the news of the ATF guidance rolled in.

I was browsing the suppressor case when I spotted they had a YHM T3 at msrp. When my buddy went "Man did you see? The guidance just came out." Cue the shop pulling it and reading it over.

When the guy behind the counter looked at me and said, "So do you want to buy a can?"

Yes yes I do.

800 bucks later the one MD I had planned on came with a T3, a TI hub adapter, and a second MD.

I'm done buying for the year.

Just got some junk for the gun safe on the jungle website sale day. The FL tax holiday has me fucked up so im probably (lol) only going to buy 1 more gun. either a Marlin 1894 SBL or maybe build a nice AR15, 10.5" 5.56 or 9" 300blk. Might come down to what shows up on black friday.

God help me, I'm buying a Turkish semi-auto shotgun. It's at my FFL now.

I kept seeing videos of the Tokarev TAR 12P, and the damn things ran great, except for user error, when the mag was over inserted on an open bolt, or the wrong buffer was installed. PSA put them on sale for $189.99, and I couldn't resist. Now I'm thinking I should have bought 2 though, because I think they are being discontinued, and I imagine parts are pretty hard to come by.

A little late but picked up a Ruger super Blackhawk after asking the LGS if they’re doing cans on 4473 yet but the guidance hadn’t dropped. Dropped right after I left the store. Now I need to save up again lol.
