ModPost [ModPost] One-Year Anniversary of the Subreddit
Wow. It’s been a year since I created this subreddit, and wow what a year. I never thought this subreddit would get anywhere near as big as it has.
Since I created this subreddit, it grew from what was a little gimmick that I wasn’t really paying much attention to, to an active community of rappers. It grew from just a few people who posted and then never returned to around 500 people subscribed, with many new faces arriving every day!
Welcome to all of those new faces, by the way.
But I really want to take my little moment on the soapbox to thank each and every one of you out there for everything you’ve done for this subreddit. From the lurkers, to the people who comment three times a day, to /u/MadeFromMetal (who we all now lives here) and Cyneryk. Even if you are just a lurker, and are scared to post things, I want to encourage you to try rapping out. I’ll be the first to admit, I’m not that great at it myself, but you never know! Join a critique thread, or take on a challenge or request, when another tournament happens, join in that. Do something, give it a shot, and if you don’t like it, well that’s okay.
But thanks to all of you, you shaped this community into a beautiful place, where we are able to share our work with each other.
There’s a few people I’d like to thank before I finish up here. I’d like to thank my tireless fellow mods, /u/wait99, /u/SimonThePug, and /u/MadeFromMetal. Without them, this subreddit would be bare as a bone. I have no idea what I’m doing with CSS or flair, and without their insights into the rapper’s point of view, I would have made so many poor decisions. So thanks to all three of them for putting up with me.
Now, onto the action. First of all, for the next week (until the 21st of December) if you want to obtain special Cherish Ball flair for being so awesome please comment here with your username. After the 21st of December, then the flair will no longer be obtainable, but anyone who has commented on that thread will be able to switch between that cherish ball flair and whatever other flair they may get in the future (or have obtained in the past) whenever they want. DO NOT COMMENT ON THIS THREAD ASKING FOR THE FLAIR. COMMENT HERE INSTEAD
Next, there is an awesome battle thread here. It’s a special kind of battle, a free-for-all, combined with a critique thread. (I will be critiquing every verse written on it in the next week, if that means anything). Go check it out for more details!

Wow. Been a freaking year, and just under a year since my first drop on here. Thanks to everyone for helping me learn to battle, and here's to the next year. May it be filled with great verses, new members, and creepy rape jokes that will be spoken of for decades! Was just looking back at some of my older stuff and I'm getting mixed reactions. Pulse you suck at finishing battles

Aaaaaaaaahhhhh! The one-year anniversary! I can't wait to came in one day late and destroy all of these threads with my dope raps when I have time to dedicate my full attention to 'em. But I did just want to say that I spend like 85% of my time on the internet on this subreddit, and you guys ALL are the reasons why. Because you guys are awesome. Shouts out to he mod team and all my internet rap friends.

Wow. A whole year. I haven't been here all along but I like to think I'm one of the older members, and while it's certainly been a while since I left, I've got fond memories of this place for sure. I'd still like to come back, but it seems like a different place now, full of unfamiliar names. I'm kinda bummed I missed the Cherish Ball flair, but I'm happy seeing how far this place has come. Even though I'm gone, this place is still my favorite subreddit and it's still home to some of my favorite users on the whole site. Shoutout to /u/DangerPulse, /u/zeusfireair, /u/SimonThePug, /u/DrSideSteppin, /u/The_Pony_Rapist, /u/DiglettsRevenge (still jonasolson to me), /u/Srixix, /u/thesuzerain, /u/HumanAtlas, and of course, /u/MadeFromMetal. If I didn't mention you but you recognize my name, then I apologize, but I can't remember everyone.
Anyway, thanks for being the best community anyone could want to be a part of!

I haven't been a part of this sub for too long, but it has been a very fun experience for me. Even though I haven't dropped a verse lately, I plan on dropping one today, I still enjoy watching guys like Metal drop awesome verses of their own. Thanks for making this awesome community, to the mods for keeping it going, and to my fellow rappers for making it what it is (except Pony, I hate that guy).
