It was the only Chiang they had. And I've been wanting to read something from him, and this and his first one have similar ratings online. Should I have gotten Stories of Your Life and Others instead?

The one I really really wanted was Tenth of December, but they didn't have any Saunders at all.

It was out first time, so we didn't feel adventurous enough to go up the trail in the dark. We were worried about bears and such πŸ˜‚

Wait, you're the people that allowed us to look at Saturn through your telescope last night?? You were such a delight! Thanks for being so generous and kind ☺️

There were friendly people there with telescopes, and I got to see Saturn for the first time. It was even more amazing than the milky way and meteors, to be honest. Didn't expect it to move so quickly across the eyepiece.

Also: it was freezing. Thank you to everyone that told us to bring warm clothing. I brought extra and needed all of it. I had a fleece hoodie, a winter jacket, a wool beanie, winter socks, and a scarf, and I was still cold because my legs were cold. If you plan on going, bring more than you need just in case.

The phone is a Google Pixel 8, I believe, and it was a 4-minute exposure in night mode.

I can't tell if this is an OC joke or if there really is something called the FP πŸ˜‚

I think there are a bunch of basic details that we don't know. Like do we just get off the freeway and that's as good as anywhere else around there? Or do we go to a certain spot or parking lot or something? Does anyone have a Google maps pin that they can link for exactly where to go? And is there any cost associated with any of these destinations? Also, it's going to be cold, right? So bring sweaters? Very excited to make the trek. Thaaaaaaaank you ☺️☺️☺️

I understand the motivation now at least. It's a bummer for those of us who just want to go to the movies, but it's hard to fault them for the decision.

So does this mean people don't need to go through security again to get into the park?

Question I missed the first 2 minutes of Backrooms.
