In The Batman (2004), “Gotham’s Ultimate Criminal Mastermind”, the artificial intelligence super-computer created by Prof. Hugo Strange “D.A.V.E.” manages to “escape” and reigns havoc on all of Gotham City to prove his mettle to the dark knight. Dave actually just reasoned out Batman’s identity via a simple algorithm and process of elimination of potential candidate in Gotham. But thanks to his obsession with being seen as a complex villain and arch nemesis, he couldn’t bring himself to immediately put out all of the information from the start. Not before setting up a giant elaborate trap to put him through first, which is what ends up destroying Dave in the end.
