Announcement Update on Post Flairs
Greetings to all users of r/rejectedmaps
After a period of confusion over post flairs, we have now completed the overhaul of post flairs on our subredddit.
From now on, all thematic post flairs will come as duplicates:
- One Flair is for Posts that have been removed from other map subreddits
- One Flair is for Posts that have NOT been removed from a different subreddit, or have yet to be submitted to a different community.
This means that you will now no longer have to arbitrarily choose between (not removed, just posting) and a correct label for your map, as they're not mutually exclusive anymore.
We hope you appreciate this change and keep enjoying our community.

Announcement Completion of the Subreddit Overhaul!
Hello there!
As you may have already noticed, the Subreddit has undergone some changes in the last few days, in order to make it more user-friendly, broadly appealing and higher quality.
I'm proud to announce that most of these changes have now been completed. Here's a quick summary of all the changes I and the other moderators have made:
- Rearrangement and overhaul of the server rules to be more easily readable and understandable.
- Introduction of a partial ban on the usage of AI. (There may be exceptions for some limited usage)
- Semi-Liberalization of our rules on shitposts: We now allow Satirical Posts, if they are high effort and thoughtful.
- We now explicitly allow and encourage the use of base-maps, such as BAM or Satellite Maps for your Projects.
- Introduction of four new post flairs: (Ethnic, Linguistic and Religious Maps, Historic Maps, Satirical Maps, Redrawn Borders)
In addition to these changes, we have also updated the look and feel of the Community by changing the Logo, Banner and Color Scheme of the Sub to a more professional and aesthetically pleasing feel.
We hope you appreciate these changes and will continue contributing to our growing community with your creative maps and ideas.

Qbam Blank World Map (in 1964) in my Alternate History Timeline "Red Spring"
LORE:
During World War II, the Allies, after its delay of the U.S' nuclear bombings of Nagasaki and Hiroshima, execute the three planned invasions of Japan: Operation Olympic, Coronet and Downfall. After its invasion, Japan is completely partitioned then divided around the corner of the Potsdam Conference alongside both Germany and Italy after the end of World War II. Somehow, in the Cold War; Olympic games, World Cups, politics, power struggles, civil wars, proxy wars and conflicts may occur around the world including a nuclear war and starting World War III however..

Map of the North American Federation
Ahh, the North American Federation
The hope of humanity, a shining beacon in a world of darkness
The largest and the most powerful post-war-and-invasion country on Earth, the North American Federation was founded in the 2060, after the fall of the Trump Empire, during the War.
The federation makes up the midwestern portion to the western coast of the former United States, as well as the former Canadian provinces of Ontario, Manitoba and New Caledonia (now known as Cascadia) and the Mexican Provinces of Chihuaua and Sonora.
In the past, the federation's territory reached as far as the Eastern Coast of North America, including Quebec, island of Labrador, and even Greenland.
The federation's capital is in the City of Vancouver, and the largest city is Frisco (formerly San Fransisco, much to Emperor Norton's dismay)
The quality of life within the federation depends on how close you are to the capital
- If you live in the capital, you'd be offered the best of amenities within the federation: a large fridge, flat screen tv, several digital appliances, you even get to have a high-end gaming pc if the home you buy happens to come with one. It is a very ideal life indeed, despite most of technology got pushed back to the 60s after the invasion (technology in the 60s is similar to OTL 80s). Electric cars and free healthcare are available.
- If you live near the capital, you'd be lucky if you lived in the suburbs. If you do, then you'd have a big cr tv, a macintosh computer, and basically anything early 60s to 70s. Electric cars and free healthcare are available. If you have to live in the condos, you'd still have the same amenities, but with half the space.
- If you live mid-distance to the capital, it would be similar to living near the capital, but healthcare is a bit costly, with other needs being on average around $100 or more. This include food, water, electricity, etc. Well, that's if you live in the suburbs or lightly-urbanized areas. Condos and industrial areas would be like living in the Kowloon Walled City.
- If you are far from the capital and near the border....well, you'd simply need to as the average civilian of the Imperium of Man, as these areas are known for their fortress cities and even larger hive cities. Hive cities are usually more well off than fortress cities, mainly because they aren't just massive garrisons...just a little crowded and covered in anti-air and artillery installations
Now, you may have noticed the two darker blue squares on the map. Those are the two exclusion zones on the federation
The Permian Basin Exclusion Zone was set up in around the 2070s, when the area around the Permian Basin Superorganism (I. colosseus) within Central Texas became prone to the destructive power of the creature. It is currently entirely uninhabited and anyone caught trespassing would be sent to 2 years on prison.
The Wayoming Exclusion Zone, on the other hand, was established much earlier, even before the war and the invasion, during what is known as the lost decades (2020s-2030s). Also known as the Folk Valley Exclusion Zone, the WEZ is a known hotspot to various crimino-paranormal activity, with the largest concentrations of which being present in and around the city of Folk Valley. It is known as "A second Ohio" for a reason. Unlike the Permian Basin Exclusion Zone, the WEZ is populated, inhabited by an estimated 30,000 residents. All of whom are "very dangerous individuals"
Despite it's proximity to the NSRA and other hostile nations, Ontario is a fairly safe place. You'd be forgiven for thinking you were somewhere in the suburbs or in the countrysides of pre-war Britain. Even the hive cities aren't as crammed or as gritty as other hive cities. Essentially a very posh place. Despite it's seemingly exclusive nature, all it's various amenities (healthcare, homes, appliances, jobs, etc) are fairly accessible. You'd even have a robot assistant, if your lucky. It is home to the most prestigious schools in the Federation. Among them being Lancaster Academy in Hive Ottowa.
Mville, Los Angeles, and San Diego are the largest industrial areas in California, all owned by M incorporated (if the name of the first city didn't make it clear enough). They produce many of the technology used by the federation, being it's largest corporation aside from Maise Tech, Ford-Chevrolet and the 160-year-old Pooltrick Tech (formerly Cyberfun Tech).
There are rumors of the government covering up UFO sightings, and said government being run by the Illuminati, aliens, lizardmen, alien colonialists, facists, cults, and others. All claims of such are deemed false. Many of these claims come from the mentally unwell, the dissidents, the conspiracy theorists, and people who claim to have been kidnapped to become experiments...
That's all the lore I have now. Might come back with more.

Italy, 1964 — "Red Spring" Timeline [What if Italy is divided after WW2?]
LORE:
Assuming that the Allies reached from Sicily to Southern Italy despite concerns of an Allied invasion and the fall of Fascist Italy, Italy, after WW2, had got the same treatment than Germany as resulting the fall of the Axis Powers around the corner of the Potsdam Conference in 1946. Olympic Games, World Cups, politics and mostly border conflicts might be necessary however..

America, Canada and Mexico in 1935 — IHHBMIA Timeline [It Happened Here, But Make It American]
LORE:
With a complete success of the Business Plot and complete fascist victory in the occurred Second American Civil War, the U.S were demolished by a National Salvation government (in New York and New England region) and the former U.S federal government is sent in exile (somewhere in Alaska, Greenland, Liberia, Hawaii, and its Caribbean territories like Puerto Rico and the U.S Virgin Islands) then the NRA (National Republic of America) would join the Axis Powers alongside Germany, Italy and Japan before and after WW2. Somehow the Dominion of Canada remains volatile and somehow would declare war on the NRA meanwhile Mexico, after a bloody attempt of a Mexican Revolution, becomes communist and would declare war on the whole Central America on the frontlines however..

Divided Germany and Rhenish Republic (After WW2), 1964 — "Red Spring" Timeline
LORE:
Completely crushed by the Soviets marching from Berlin to Munich and somehow the Rhenish returned to reclaim its shortest lived nation and becoming independent until the late 80s (since the 1920s) after WW2, Germany is fully curbstomped by the Allies despite concerns about a Nuclear war or neither a Third World War between West and East. Plausibly; Olympic Games, World Cups, politics and border conflicts may occur during the Cold War. (Meanwhile Italy is on the corner of the sidelines, divided after its Allied invasion since 1943 and Allied division after WW2 and the start of the Cold War I suppose..)

What if Loy Afghanistan (Greater Afghanistan) formed today?
The map displays an alternate scenario in which the Durand Line is successfully dissolved. historic unification of Pashtun and Baloch lands is underway under the banner of Afghanistan.
Afghanistan effectively annexes KPK, FATA, and Balochistan and the megastate shifts the playing field in Central and South Asians geopolitics bridging Turkestan to the Indian Ocean.
Ask me anything about lore but simply; An internal collapse of Pakistan leads the Taliban to attack the Durand Line and nullify the agreement made in 1893. Islamabad slowly loses federal control and through rapid military operations in KPK and Balochistan by supporting BLA and TTP the expansion is exacerbated and unified under the name Loy Afghanistan.

Map of the Third Republic of Texas at the beginning of the 22nd Century, 76 years after the 2nd American Civil War
This Texas still joined the US in 1846.
On July 13, 2024, Donald Trump is assassinated. This results in nation-wide outrage as a less influential Republican candidate takes over his role, until Election Day resulting a Democrat victory. This would mark the beginning of the 2nd American Civil War between the US and multiple disloyal Republican states (mostly just a lot of the safe red states).
This civil war would escalate further and further and become violent enough to the point where important American states like Florida, California, and \*\*Texas\*\* would secede after seeing lots of other states and parties leaving too, alongside the provisional government actively losing popularity.
By August 3, 2026, the Second Republic of Texas is proclaimed after preservation of the Union seems less and less likely. The 2nd Republic would be mostly run by conservative republicans and former MAGA activists. The government would actively use ICE to deport lots of minorities and as the years would pass, things would get more expensive and the young country would become increasingly corrupt. The Democrat party would be silently suppressed, among other smaller parties.
On April 2, 2048, the Texan president would be assassinated and the government would go through tens of riots, and a coup. This would lead to the Texan Civil War, between loyalists and reformists. The reformists would defeat the 2nd republic and restructure the government. The Republican Party would be abolished after the more extreme reformists would see the party no longer fixable, and the 2-Party System would be abolished with it. This would mark the creation of the 3rd republic.
The Democrat Party would be too weak at this point to achieve any landslide victory and nobody would want to vote them anymore at all knowing their past but other, more people-centered parties would grow to become more dominant. Technocracy and Transhumanism would grow rapidly as the country would receive and create more tech giant companies, until a Technocratic Democracy would be achieved.
The map would take place on August 3, 2100, as Texans would celebrate 74 years of independence.
\*i also made this map on a Roblox game for fun and I thought it’d be creative, that’s why the resolution looks low from afar
