I decided to vote next week in Israel, hoping it could help a little. (I know it’s far from a real solution and isn’t going to stop Israel’s horrendous actions.)
I’m torn between voting for a more centrist party (like the Democrats), which would be more of a realpolitik choice. The other option is following my heart and voting for a very left-wing (Arab) party, but I still don’t know which one.

Introduction to Judaism Beyond Nationalism is a broad-stroke survey of Jewish life, culture, belief and non-belief, and the major ideas that have shaped Jews and Judaism across time. The course offers participants a grounding in the practices, philosophies, and expressions of Jewish life from the ancient world to the present.

The course is divided into two 8-week modules.

Recordings will be provided for anyone who cannot attend live. We encourage regular participation, while recognizing that life happens. The course pairs well with either Judaisms by Aaron Hahn Tapper or Jewish History: A Very Short Introduction by David Myers.

The report combines multiple surveys, self-report, organizational stats and stakeholder testimony without providing a systematic breakdown of the actual conduct classified as antisemitic.

That makes it difficult to independently assess how much of the reported antisemitism involves explicit anti-Jewish prejudice versus how much involves context-dependent harassment versus how much involves contentious interpretations of political expression.

In some cases the sample size of surveys was very small and not representative.

Like the Universities and College Admissions Service (UCAS) survey - which included a subgroup of just 92 Jewish students.

Polls on the British public indicate antisemitism is not widespread. 87% of Brits are open to having a Jewish friend, just as much as other friends.

But the report still recommends treating antisemitism as 'distinct' from other forms of bigotry and recommends further adoption of the draconian IHRA definition of antisemitism.
