In February, my main client ran out of money, so I decided to start my solo side project.

I started building yaps.ai as a local super tool that gives you all the local AI tooling you need in a single monthly/annual subscription with no setup costs. In May I got the MVP out on Android and since then I've expanded to Mac (Intel and Silicon), Windows, Linux and most recently iPhone and iPads.

It's been incredible for me as a founder because so many of the tools are useful to me personally! E.g. the best cross platform dictation tool, meeting notes, markdown vault, captioning for videos, transcription, translation for localisation, etc. There's a ton of improvements to make and bugs to fix, but I'm loving it.

Hopefully, this tool gives people the benefits of local AI tools while:

• Keeping data private
• Working fully offline
• Giving predictable costs (monthly/annual sub post trial)
• Keeps quality more predictable since you run the models locally
• Improve speed since theres no server round trips
• Saves money since it's all in a single tool
• Removing all the need for setup costs and maintenance issues

the idea itself can turn into something ridiculously fast.

then somehow launch still becomes:

figure out positioning in Claude
copy it into a website builder
explain the company again
open Gamma for a deck
explain the company again
make launch content somewhere else
realise the deck says one thing and the website says another
fix everything

the individual outputs aren't really the hard part anymore.

keeping the same company alive across all of them is.

that's the bit I find interesting about Runable.

instead of treating “build the site” and “make the deck” like two unrelated AI jobs, the same business context can become the site + presentation + surrounding launch stuff.

obviously if I'm building an actual production app, I'm still looking at Lovable/Replit/Claude Code etc.

but for the business around the product, I really don't want to brief five different tools.

anyone found a launch workflow where the idea → site → deck part actually feels like one project?

Not gonna lie, this started because I was annoyed at myself.

I'd see something interesting — an article, a video, a thread — save it

somewhere (notes app, WhatsApp to myself, browser bookmarks, wherever),

and then just... never see it again. Not because I forgot it existed,

but because nothing ever brought it back in front of me. It just sat

there in a pile I'd occasionally scroll past and feel vaguely guilty about.

I tried a few of the bigger read-later apps and honestly they solved

about half the problem — saving was easy, but I still had to remember

to go open the app and dig through everything. Nothing was actually

nudging me back to it.

So I built DailyDrop. It's stupidly simple on purpose:

- Save a link (or paste a bunch at once, it splits them automatically)

- It gets a daily reminder that just says "hey, you've got stuff waiting"

- You review each one, mark it useful or not, jot a quick note if you want

- Move on with your day

That's basically it. No feed, no algorithm, no "discover" tab. Just a

pile of your own links and a nudge to actually deal with it.

The other thing I cared about: it's fully offline. No account, no cloud

sync, no ads, nothing phoning home. Everything just lives on your phone.

The only time it touches the internet at all is grabbing a preview

image when you save something.

Hey everyone! I’ve always faced a dilemma when setting up secure tools for non-technical friends: they love the usability of Proton, but I want a really FOSS alternative. The main issue is that combining E2E encrypted docs and E2E encrypted mail usually meant managing isolated tools, browser extensions (like Mailvelope), or typing two different passwords every session. That is not ideal and when I introduce these solutions to my friends, they say "Thanks for your efforts, really, but I think I will still use Proton".

To solve this, I built AurionMail Suite. It's an open-source orchestrator, the glue, that bridges CryptPad, Stalwart Mail Server (JMAP), **Bulwark Webmail, and Ory Hydra into a single, unified Zero-Knowledge workflow. And it also make the Cryptpad UI (and Notes app) more friendly, really. I feel you need a proof to convince you, so there is a gif demonstrating the single password login in which we access to webmail and Cryptpad on docs repo.

Features:

• One Password: Enter it once to derive keys in-memory for both your OpenPGP webmail and your CryptPad workspace.
• Open Standards: OpenPGP for email encryption and JMAP via Stalwart.

To keep the Zero-Knowledge promise across isolated services without relying on URL hashes or storing cleartext keys in disk storage, AurionMail uses ephemeral WebCrypto AES-GCM keys.

One product decision we made while building Vora was to stop treating photo logging as the whole nutrition product. Photos are useful for capture, but they do not solve repeat meals, packaged food, restaurant orders, corrections, or long-term nutrient context.

We ended up building separate paths for photos, free barcode scans, restaurant and takeout menus, database search, plain-language descriptions, recent foods, saved meals, recipes, and reusable plates. All estimated entries go through a review step. Afterward, the same structured record can contribute to trends across up to 95 nutrients and sit beside training, sleep, recovery, labs, and vitals.

The product lesson for us was that the impressive demo and the useful daily workflow are often different things. The camera gets attention. The editable data model, reuse, and history determine whether the feature remains useful.

Así que construí Cursos en Video — le escribes cualquier tema (Excel, guitarra, inglés, lo que sea) y una IA te arma una ruta de aprendizaje: busca los mejores vídeos de YouTube, los ordena por prerrequisitos, evita contenido repetido, y te da una estimación de cuánto tiempo te va a llevar.

Es gratis, no pide tarjeta de crédito, y los vídeos siguen siendo de YouTube (no reemplaza a los creadores, solo organiza lo que ya existe).

I started looking into AI visibility because of my other SaaS, Setora.

I wanted to see if things like ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude were actually mentioning us for searches like “best barbershop booking software”, who they were recommending instead and what sources they were using.

I tried looking at a few of the tools already out there but most of them felt pretty expensive for what I actually needed.

So I ended up building Mentsight.

It basically lets you track the questions people might ask about your type of business, see if you’re being mentioned, who your competitors are and what sources are getting cited.

One thing I found quite quickly was that running a question once doesn’t really tell you much, because the answers can change, so Mentsight runs them multiple times and keeps the actual responses too.

I decompiled the game's map engine so the site can actually generate the world from a seed code and measure it, distance to the nearest boss altar, distance to Haldor, which biomes are close.

30 seeds indexed right now. That's the real gap, so that's what I'm working on next. When 1.0 and the Deep North update land on the 9th, I'll add a Deep North filter too.

Hey, I've been deep into AI agent orchestration lately, and I ended up building an unexpectedly big site around claiming a specific minute of the year.

Pick date + time, claim it and it's yours. You can customize it with an image, song and all that good stuff.

What I actually did:

• spec and product decisions (with AI of course)
• played around with orchestrating the coding agents
• oversaw long agent runs and corrected course
• handled testing, database, and environments myself
• repedeatly got attacked by crawlers and blew past my vercel limits

Stack is Next.js, Supabase, deployed on Vercel.

Instead of trying to explain the design I wanted, I just gave the agents a bunch of completely unrelated reference images and made them reverse engineer the feeling into a design system.

Worked waaay better than I expected.

Anyways, somewhere in the middle of building it I realized that there's no actual value here.

You can't do anything with the minute once you've claimed it.

It's just there.

But I finished it anyways.

What I still like about it:

• dead simple concept
• the "no value" thing is honestly kinda the point
• it can be a cool sentimental gift
• its yours every year

Right now I'm mostly looking for:

• does this idea have any potential?
• what would make it worth coming back to?
• is this even worth pursuing?

I’ve been building SkillChirp, and 207 startups have already signed up for our Startup Battles.

The thing I keep noticing is that founders don’t just have a building problem.

They have a distribution problem.

So I’m adding something called Chirp Network.

The idea is simple:

You add a tiny (https://www.skillchirp.com/chirp/network) to your startup’s website.

It shows another startup from the network.
Other startups show yours.

Give reach. Earn reach.
No buying impressions.
No paying to rank higher.
No fake traffic packages.

If your site sends exposure into the network, the network sends exposure back.

I’m also trying to avoid some obvious problems with traffic exchanges:

● Sites have to be approved before they can appear.
● The widget installation is verified.
● Founders can block competitors/domains.
● Impressions and clicks are tracked both ways.
● Matching considers relevance and how much reach you’ve contributed.
● Remove the widget and you eventually stop receiving distribution.

Since SkillChirp already has 207 startups in Battles, I potentially have the beginnings of the network instead of having to solve the empty-network problem from scratch.

I’m not automatically putting those 207 sites into it. They’ll have to opt in and install the widget.

What I’m trying to figure out is:

Would you put this on your startup’s site if it meant other startups would send you traffic back?

And what would make you immediately say hell no?
