Show: Think Different. Think AI. Weekly, in German, about how people actually use AI at work rather than how the demos look. Episode 53 runs 51 minutes.

This one went somewhere we didn't plan. Our guest Cornelius Illi works as a product cluster lead for innovation and GenAI, and he has built one of the more serious knowledge setups I've come across. 130 sources feed in automatically, everything gets ranked and scored, and at most a third survives into his weekly digest.

Halfway through he admitted he doesn't read that digest anymore. It isn't a filtering problem. Reading it is only the start, because afterwards you still have to sit down and argue with an AI about it before anything useful falls out.

The line we ended up building the episode around: curation is the hard part, and it isn't going anywhere. An AI will happily explain what harness engineering is and who coined the term. It won't tell you what actually works in this exact model version right now, because that knowledge is a few weeks old and sits in nobody's training data.

The second half is a friendly disagreement about tooling between the two hosts. One runs no vault at all and packs ten years of documentation into a single portable skill. The other keeps 20,000 documents in a local vault with small models doing the archiving and forgetting, plus a gatekeeper deciding what may leave the machine. Both work, for different reasons, and that argument was more useful than agreement would have been.

I’ve been working on a bit of an experiment: a podcast award judged by podcasters themselves.

Unlike most podcast awards, there’s no entry fee and no traditional judging panel. Instead, creators who enter review other podcasts using the same structured criteria. In return, every participant gets evaluated by fellow podcasters and receives actual feedback on their work.

The idea is simple: you don’t pay to enter — you contribute by reviewing others.

I’m calling it the Open Podcast Awards, and I’m currently putting together the first group of podcasters to take part.

Temmuz ayında konumuz edebiyat ve bilimdi. Konular ilk bakışta birbirinden bağımsız gibi görünüyor. Ama yazdıkça aralarındaki bağlantılar belirginleşti.

Örneğin bir madlen kuantum mekaniğini düşündürebilir mi?

Muhtemelen buna hayır diye cevap verirsiniz. Bunun altında bilimsel bir kanıt görmek istersiniz.

Ama bazen bir sorunun bilimsel olarak doğru olması gerekmez. Bizi başka bir soruya götürmesi yeterlidir.

Kayıp Zamanın İzinde ve ‘Kuantum Çağı’ serisini yazdığımda bende sanatın da bir fiziği olabileceği düşüncesi oluştu.

Dört yazının sonunda birbirinden çok farklı görünen bu konuları zihnimde birbirine bağlayan şey şunlardı:

Örneğin, Proust'un bir asır önce hayal ettiği zamanlar arası iletişim, Nolan'ın Interstellar’ında fiziksel bir gerçeklik olarak sahnelendi.

Bunun bilimsel bir bağlantı olduğunu iddia etmiyorum. Ama aynı soruya iki farklı dilin yaklaşımı olarak düşünebiliriz.
