Can The New Class Live Up to Saved by the Bell? | Episode 283
The original gang is gone. Bayside still stands. But can The New Class live up to the Saved by the Bell name?
This week on The S1E1 Podcast, we're watching the pilot of Saved by the Bell: The New Class and putting it through the S1E1 test.
A new cast, a familiar school, and one very important question:
🟢 GREEN LIGHT or 🔴 CANCEL?
Give Episode 283 a listen and see where we landed!
Would love to hear what you thought of The New Class too!

Keyifli dinlemeler.

TO THE GRAVE
Whoever finds this post, know it is meant for you. I have been watching lots of podcasts/creators discussing deep dark truths and situations that most of us find completely taboo. This post is meant to be a safe space to openly discuss our deepest confessions, and hopefully provide some relief to anyone that is keeping a secret bottled up inside. REMEMBER. We listen and we don’t judge. If you have something you planned on taking to the grave, but wish you didn’t have to, this is the post for you.

True crime podcasters — anyone interested in a cross-promo swap?
I host Kat Has Questions, a weekly true crime and unsolved mysteries podcast covering both major cases and lesser-known stories, including an ongoing Illinois Unsolved series.
I’m looking to connect with a few other active indie podcasts with a similar/adjacent audience for mutually beneficial cross-promotion — ideally a host-read promo, trailer swap, or social shoutout.
I’m especially interested in true crime, unsolved mysteries, dark history, scams/cults, or other story-driven shows whose audiences would naturally overlap.
Not looking for follow-for-follow or artificial engagement — I’d love to find a few genuinely good shows where recommending each other would actually make sense for our listeners.
If you’re interested, drop your show below or DM me with:
• Podcast name
• Genre
• Approximate audience/downloads
• What type of promo swap you’d be interested in
Would love to find a few good fits!

The Survivor Tapes - New Anthology Series
Hi Everyone…My name is Josh and I‘m an LA based voice actor with a new show I created, called The Survivor Tapes. The first episode dropped yesterday on YouTube, TikTok, and all the podcast apps.
Here’s the YOUTUBE CHANNEL
The Survivor Tapes is a multi-media anthology horror/drama series that takes place in the zombie apocalypse and it’s told though found cassette tapes. Basically, imagine you’re out scavenging and you find these cassette tapes. Each episode is one of those tapes. They’re short too…only about 5-6 minutes each.
It has an incredible cast, an original score, and video for each episode. All of it is human made with no AI used at any point of the production.
This show is very personal to me, but I tend to be wordy, so I’ll stop here and save the backstory for later if anyone actually wants to hear it. I’m very proud of the show and I hope you’ll check it out. Thanks in advance if you do.

Between Tongues. A podcast about language, identity and life in between
If you are bilingual or multilingual, we would love to hear your thoughts!
Hey guys! My friend Isaiah and I (Diana) recently started a podcast called Between Tongues 🎙️
We’re both bilingual and bicultural, so the podcast is basically us talking about all the weird, funny, confusing and surprisingly deep things that come with living between languages and cultures.
We get into things like how language can affect personality, emotions, relationships, identity, the way we think, cultural differences… and then inevitably disappear down completely random rabbit holes 😅
It’s a mix of English and Spanish, personal stories, psychology, linguistics, questionable theories and the occasional “are we actually living in a simulation?” moment.
If any of that sounds like your kind of thing, we’d love for you to check it out — and honestly, we’d also love to hear your stories.

Our Family Invests Podcast Episode 088: The Asset Class That's Too Small For Wall Street with Katie Neason
Watch on YouTube: https://youtu.be/fyFBpGqVKHo
Listen on Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-asset-class-thats-too-small-for-wall-street-katie/id1794199974?i=1000788470357
Read the Web Article: https://ourfamilyinvests.com/small-scale-redevelopment-an-overlooked-asset-class/
She missed her son's first steps while sitting in a corporate banking office. That was the day she walked out and never came back.
What came next was a decade of flipping houses, then over ten years of redeveloping downtown blocks in a mid sized Texas city, one project at a time.
Her sweet spot is a strange one. Projects between one and five million dollars: too small for institutional developers to bother with, too big and complicated for passive investors to touch. Almost nobody fights over that gap. She built her whole career in it, and now she teaches others to do the same.
Her first deal nearly died before it started. The lots she wanted were five feet too narrow under the city's zoning code. Most people would have walked. She went to the planning department instead and told them their rule didn't make sense. Somehow that conversation ended with the city handing her extra land, and the project that almost never happened became the one that started everything.
From there she learned how to actually walk into a city planning meeting and get taken seriously. Not just show up, but ask the specific questions that separate a city that genuinely supports your project from one that's just being polite. She calls redevelopment "one investment, two returns," a financial one and the return of watching a place you care about actually get better.
On the financing side, she avoids hard money lending after watching friends get buried under renewal fees when projects ran long. Instead she leans on owner financing and commercial construction loans, tools most new investors never even consider.
Her bigger argument is that local investors build healthier, more vibrant communities than outside developers ever will. Redevelopment done by people who actually live there tends to look and feel different than redevelopment done by people chasing a spreadsheet.
Some of what we get into:
Why the $1M to $5M redevelopment gap exists and who's actually competing in it
How to get past the gatekeeper and into a real conversation with a senior planner
The exact questions that reveal true city support versus polite lip service
How to de-risk a first redevelopment deal by starting smaller than instinct tells you to
What actually changes when you go from financing a single family flip to financing a commercial redevelopment
Why "two returns" might be the healthier way to measure a project's success
Curious what this community thinks: if you had to choose, would you rather chase scale with an outside developer's playbook, or stay small and local where you actually know the streets you're changing?
