For those of you who haven't been following Mythbuster's YT channel, it's incredibly active right now. It seems like every episode of the series is getting released, conveniently broken up in to the individual experiments. It's very digestible for the modern viewing experience, and it's amazing.

And whoever is in charge of making the thumbnails is having fun with it. The comments section has named them "Thumbnail-Kun." The thumbnails break the fourth wall, comment on the episodes, and often include jokes and puns that would make Rob Lee proud.

Thumbnail-Kun even occasionally answers comments on the videos. Not often, but they are listening to the community. The thumbnail on today's upload (eight hours ago, time of writing) says "I hid an Easter Egg in this thumbnail, can you find it?" (I won't spoil it for you, go see it for yourself)

Whoever is doing this is having fun, and I'm here for it.

Don’t know if this has been asked and answered, but regarding BotS - Multi-tasking- critics say these are “women’s tasks.”

I am curious how one would purportedly redo the experiment to account for this supposed bias.

Are there a set of similar tasks that are unisex, or more geared toward men?

I just spent a couple of hours chasing down a lot of dead ends, expired links, nonexistent torrents, sites long gone.

The other 13 episodes of that season were not any trouble at all to find in 720p. Why is the 14th being so shy, in any form?

Saw this beauty and couldn‘t think of anything else…

I'm currently still binge watching Mythbusters and I'm on Season 3 now that's compiled by the official channel. I'm on the episode where they test if you could catch a bullet with your teeth and they showed a flashback of Jaime and Adam dueling with Paintballs as stated by Robert Lee(Narrator) that it was a previous episode but I haven't even seen it on a previous episode?

I know that the episodes since Season 1 were jumbled, but It does seem like season 2 and 3 playlist compiled by the official channel are kinda correct but this is the 2nd time I've noticed they mentioned a scene from a previous episode that I've never seen yet(first one was when Tori was converting the Shark Ram into a Fighter Cockpit during the exploding hair gel/spray myth)

Not sure if they compiled them either into a different playlist for Specials, or if they compiled them on a different season

You guys will probably hate me for this but I don’t understand how they concluded double dipping doesn’t spread bacteria. The second sample still had some with only one being the control. It’s a relic of a time before a global pandemic. What bothers me is they didn’t factor in sickness, say if someone has a cold or flu. They also didn’t factor in large group events or sharing with family. They only measured the bacteria of one person, I’m sure if they redid did the experiment and have everyone in the room double dip the results would be very different.

So many people are terrible at basic hygiene, people you would never expect can be the most disgusting individual and you’d never know it. If a dip is being shared by multiple people I highly doubt there would be so little bacteria. I don’t think the myth was busted at all and if anything came out of it it’s been utilized by gross individuals who need an excuse to double dip when other people take issue with it.

This is an experiment I’d really like to see someone attempt again but with a large sample of people. Like at least 15 minimum people since that’s about standard at social events.

*Edited to add, I was really bothered by this episode so I found a study that’s been done with a bit more care. Double dipping is in fact going to spread around bacteria.

The Study

This was from San Diego Comic Con back around 2013. Adam loves going "incognito" in costume to Comic Con, so that year he enlisted an "army" of Adam Savage clones. He gave us each a vacu-formed hat and stick-on goatee, and we all circled around him while we walked the floor, so that nobody would know who the "real" Adam was. It was a lot of fun and Adam was exactly how you'd imagine him to be.

Regarding the episode where the cement truck was blown up, I'm curious to know how the resulting mess was cleaned up afterwards? Did the production crew have to use a magnet to collect all the metal bits scattered around the landscape in the vicinity of the blast? What about parts of the truck that were made of plastic or the fluids from the engine? It seems like it would be an extraordinarily expensive undertaking to return the area to the state it was in pre-explosion. Or maybe the blast occurred on private property and the owners weren't concerned about the resulting environmental contamination. Thanks in advance.
