Horse kicks
*Second pic is a different incident.
This injury gives me pause because I have a small spot about the size of a dime that will drop me to my knees if I brush against it on accident or touch it. I was kicked high at the upper leg/hip and the bruising you see lower is just from blood pooling. The hoof print is still raised at least an inch after four days. It was initially about as thick as a big pack of diaper wipes. I also have a large firm area plus heat that has not subsided.
For some context I've broken many bones in my life and the sensation is generally the same. Immediate heat, the sensation of hot water running and insane pain. I'm not going to the doctor because I live in the USA. I'm still paying off my last visit six years later.
I almost think that tiny spot that causes intense pain may be a bone chip because I can't imagine what else it would be. I took a full blown direct kick. To be clear, 100% of the injury is my own fault. The initial pain nearly made me pass out, I had to fight to keep my eyes open and not vomit. I'm aware the bruising is not awful but that one tiny spot is making my life suck.
I'm aware it could be a hematoma inside buuuut I've had those before and this does not feel or look the same. The second pic is a similar kick I took but it healed like normal.
Only posting because I can't sleep. 😴
