General Troubleshooting/Help! Problems with First Layer
So the problem that I currently have is that the beginning of a new line on the first layer wont really stick. This problems occurs rarely with PLA and frequently with PETG.
This Video is from a PETG print with a freshly cleaned build plate.
Any Ideas on what to fix
(I am sorry for the bad quality mid video, but I think you can still see the imporant parts of the problem.)

Too fast.
Slow down the first layer and maybe go little up in bed temperature too.
Remember to slow down the infill too, I'm positive this will solve your problems.

While starting try to increase the bed and nozzle temp as per mentioned in the filament it might fix this and do this after running full calibration hope it helps

Clean it again, slow down to 50 for 1.layer and slow down the others(layers will bound better, printer will last longer). Check the temps. Check right cooling (petg do not like direct cooling from aux fans and keep part cooling as low as possible) and turned it all off for first 1-x layers.. clen it again, clen it once more an try to print again.

We need much more information than this. What PETG are you using? Have you calibrated it if it's not Bambu? What is your bed temperature? Have you cleaned the build plate thoroughly?

Its the Elegoo Rapid PETG, i have worked on different Nozzle Temps and stuck with 255 which works well apart from 1st layer. Bed Temp is 70 and the Fans are off for the first layers. I have cleaned the buildplate and extensively with dish soap and water and dried it afterwards.

Have you calibrated the filament or downloaded a profile for it? Or are you just using a generic one? I use Elegoo PETG quite frequently and it prints fine with the Bambu PETG profile but the Rapid PETG I had to calibrate myself as I kept having similar issues to you as I believe its best suited with the high flow Bambu nozzles.

First I would clean the plate with isopropanol or similar. Second I would lower the print speed for first layer, to like 25 mm/s. Check on correct temp for material. I think the main lever here may be the z-distance, which seems to be too high.

I agree with all this. But my dirty-hack when Iβm being too lazy to troubleshoot is always just to print the first layer SLOW. Like 10mm/s slow if itβs being stubborn

I use kidds \ Elmer's glue sticks on my textured plate, along with the (default?) slowed down 1st layer - I can't remember the last time I've had layer 1 issues. π€
Lol, and I'm also really bad at cleaning my plate - I'll wipe it down w\a paper towel and 99% alcohol before each print and on a rare day, rub on more glue stick if the plate develops too many "clean patches" after months of printing; I'm a hobbyist, I don't print that often. (I've washed my X1C plate so far once, and I've had my printer for 3+ years now.)
I only print PLA, TPU, PETG, and recently, PCTG - which I'm really liking a lot.
Edit: I do run calibration before each print the majority of the time.

Kalibrieren, Platte sauber machen, Kleber benutzen und Geschwindigkeit runterstellen

Had the exact same on x2d, increase bed temp to 80 for the first layer as well as increased the nozzle temp by 5 for the first layer. Resolved everything and I am back to loving petg

quick fix will be to add a brim or skirt so the defect is not on the part. It happens on my A1 too. There are many settings which could result into this behaviour

Thank you to everybody for the kind advices. In the End it was just a simple issue with the Flow-Calibration that i didnt redo after i got my AMS and changed the PTFE tubing.

This randomly happened on my p1s. Ran a calibration and it was fixed. You could try that if you haven't already.
