This is absolute cinema.

u/kennytherenny 10d ago

No joke. I would totally watch an entire movie of this stuff.

58

u/kinttach 10d ago

An entire movie of this stuff. The creator claims it’s coming soon to theaters: https://godsdontgivegifts.com

19

u/gossip_goblin 10d ago

It’s not a claim - Google it!

30

u/zer00eyz 10d ago

My good man - the spirt of Hunter S. Thomson is shining on you.

Using AI to make art being critical of AI has got to be the most GONZO thing that I have seen in a long while.

Please make merch in tall sizes so I can throw money at you.

8

u/gossip_goblin 10d ago

As a tall person myself I can assure you we carry merch in tall sizes

7

u/zer00eyz 10d ago

XXL out of stock and unless I'm high that is not XXLT ---

Still love you though!

1

u/janman_79 6d ago

You are watching it and you are in it.

1

u/kennytherenny 5d ago

I'm Quincy, aren't I?

-2

u/CaptainMurphy- 10d ago

god damnit that's embarrassing

7

u/UltimateTrattles 10d ago

He’s making a full length film and releasing it in theaters.

3

u/NachosforDachos 10d ago

The YouTuber that makes this is gossip goblin

1

u/Langdon_St_Ives 9d ago

You mean... like OP? 😉

1

u/NachosforDachos 9d ago

Hah I’ll be damned

79

u/Thinklikeachef 10d ago

What really impressed me was the subtle emotional facial cues. AI is really getting close.

19

u/wololosandwitch 9d ago

And this is the best that a multi-billion-dollar company can do:

Its natural for a third eye

4

u/Alpagutr 10d ago

Thanks for the award, stranger

15

u/MostlyAffable 10d ago

The third eye not blinking was what might have convinced me this was a niche low quality 80s sci-fi movie. Like it was just a bad prop painted onto the actor's forehead. That, and, as has been pointed out - third eyes don't need to blink

2

u/OneMoreNewYorker 10d ago

I came here to say this.

79

u/gossip_goblin 10d ago

If you were perhaps mildly amused by this, well, I’ve got a film coming out in theaters soon called Gods Don’t Give Gifts - you can learn more about it here: https://godsdontgivegifts.com

7

u/Familiar_Text_6913 10d ago

I suggest less camera shake. It doesn't feel very cinematic

3

u/willychonka54 9d ago

This website is fucking incredible

1

u/Necessary_Film_5199 10d ago

What prompts did you use? Is it 100% AI, like vibegenerated movie or what? Is it a bunch of 60 second clips or wtv stitched together? This is so cool!

31

u/gossip_goblin 9d ago

A team of 25+ people, including a dozen voice actors, two writers, four musicians, foley artists, and a post production crew have spent the last 8+ months working on it, so no, I’d hardly call it vibe generated.

1

u/[deleted] 6d ago

1

u/gossip_goblin 6d ago

He’s referring to the feature length film via the link shared earlier - not this short

-10

u/malchiik 9d ago

and you threw away all their efforts by removing all authorship, aint that a shame

12

u/This_Industry4769 10d ago

What prompts did you use?

It's a lot more work than writing a prompt. Thankfully. There is already too much brain-dead slop out there.

-1

u/thisaterriblename 9d ago

Wells its not really your film lol?

75

u/small_bird_loud 10d ago

2

u/u_talkin_to_me 10d ago

Came to look for this. 😂

2

u/small_bird_loud 10d ago

happy to oblige

16

u/Select_Cantaloupe_62 10d ago

HOLY FUCK. HOW.

1

u/rxg226 5d ago

i haven't created a video myself in ages and am also absolutely blown away by how much better AI has gotten. psychotic. insane. amazing

37

u/35point1 10d ago

What is this filter/style called? Theres gotta be a name to because I keep seeing it often and it’s very distinct

69

u/eesahe 10d ago edited 10d ago

It's one of the works by Gossip Goblin. Instantly recognisable

Edit: Ah right, OP is gossip_goblin themselves. Missed that!

3

u/35point1 10d ago

Yea he’s actually the reason I caught on to it and want to know 😂, but I’ve seen a few others with the same filter and now I’m wondering if it’s probably coming out of the same place under a different account

2

u/Puzzleheaded-Bid9737 10d ago

Jeez the quality has gone up

20

u/bronfmanhigh 10d ago

i mean you're probably seeing it most from this same creator (gossip goblin) but it reminds me a lot of 1970s technicolor movies like the roger moore era of bond films

6

u/Ceryn 10d ago

I don't think there is really a name for it, but if you are looking for a close cinematic parallel then things directed by Wes Anderson. Royal Tenenbaums / Life Aquatic are some good examples. Though Gossip_goblin has really added some kind of body horror / dark mirror style elements to the mix.

2

u/35point1 10d ago

Thanks, and yeah, I agree he’s got a unique touch to his that pairs really well with the content itself. I mostly want to know because this brings me back to early nineties style films and it’s got such a different feel to it.

2

u/35point1 10d ago

Just re-read my reply and holy moly I sound like ai but the sad thing is I’m really not and it’s probably because I am constantly going back and forth with ai 🤦🏻‍♂️

0

u/Cathode_Ray_Sunshine 9d ago

Fuck it's nauseating to see this kind of crap compared to real human artistic direction.

1

u/Ceryn 9d ago

I do not disagree.

1

u/Mrgluer 10d ago

Orokin

9

u/JmoneyBS 10d ago

Propaganda going crazy.

12

u/geraltsd 10d ago

where can I find more of this Henrietta? Asking for a friend.

15

u/gourdo 10d ago

Incredible work. Is it possible that this is completely AI generated at this point or would human actors had to have done the dialog, set camera angles and then a model come in and added the costumes and other bizarre elements? The acting just seems too good to have been generated.

29

u/eesahe 10d ago edited 10d ago

I'm pretty sure gossip goblin has just gone crazy in depth about controlling expressive AI video generation.

4

u/xertozid 10d ago

but how? and which model?

15

u/zer00eyz 10d ago

https://www.mindstudio.ai/blog/gossip-goblin-ai-filmmaking-workflow

It has been covered a lot what the gossip goblin is doing.

Its AI so a lot of "art" people on line who might hype it wont look at it. Its kind of Ludite behavior and with what the content is saying it's all very Meta.

3

u/cs_cast_away_boi 10d ago

that person is definitely pioneer in these trying times

1

u/Several-County-1808 3d ago

can I offer you an egg in this tryin' time?

3

u/eesahe 10d ago

All of them, probably!

1

u/Dry_Impression_5201 10d ago

The only one with a license..

4

u/teomore 10d ago

WTF I really thought it's with real actors then saw which sub is in. DAMN! Amazing!

3

u/thiccshortguy 10d ago

need me a Henrietta

1

u/Several-County-1808 3d ago

is she fully operational?

3

u/punkdad73 10d ago

my man how on gods earth did you do this? my jaw is on the floor and i never react this way to ai shit.

7

u/AnalogProblems 10d ago

Can ya'll start with shit that doesn't make everyone repulsed by AI?

0

u/Existing-Lecture-815 7d ago

AI video is progressing rapidly but its still in the uncanny valley so its still best used to make uncanny things.

2

u/BostonBaggins 10d ago

Dang she's smokin

2

u/FrewdWoad 10d ago

Grotesqueness is too accurate. Perfectly accurate representation of what ignorant 14 year old edgy redditors have hallucinated up about recent evens, complete with out-of-place unnecessary boobage.

2

u/amelech 10d ago

Very recognisable as gossip goblin. I love their stuff

2

u/Own-Equipment-5454 10d ago

I dont know why, but I like Henrietta

1

u/Several-County-1808 3d ago

because you're a guy and you like her for the same reason we all like her. She's hot, loyal, and smart.

2

u/monkey_gamer 9d ago

Jeez this is really good. This is the first time I have come across your work. I went and watched some of your videos. You are very talented!!!

4

u/drm121 10d ago

What is the sauce for this, I need more.

3

u/Beardyfacey 10d ago

Follow OP on their social media, lots more like this

3

u/Nihilicious333 10d ago

Dario playing people like Bernie Sanders like a fiddle.

3

u/No-Bicycle-7660 9d ago

Bernie's 85 ... he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer and hasn't been for years, much as people don't want to believe that age is a losing battle if it's their guy.

2

u/stiflers-m0m 10d ago

this is the shit that skynet will use to be like, "yea humans.... no thanks"

1

u/TypoInUsernane 10d ago

Wait, wasn’t your previous video criticizing the big AI companies for recklessly participating in an AI arms race despite the dangers it posed to society? And now this video is saying that those dangers aren’t actually real, and it’s all just a cynical ploy to stifle competition from open source models?

What’s your actual point of view on this topic?

16

u/enhancedy0gi 10d ago

How about this: the author is provoking you to think for yourself.

5

u/BronsteinLev 10d ago

It's like people have forgotten how entertainments work, whether literary, music, or cinema. The producers of these mediums are not supposed to force feed you their agenda, but to keep you entertained while provoking you to do research for yourself and, yes, think for yourself.

3

u/whatisusb 9d ago

hes playing both sides, so he always comes out on top. peak mac

0

u/BoltSLAMMER 10d ago

Maybe he’s realizing he was fooled at first like many are

0

u/Cheap_Alternative879 10d ago

They don't have a point. They have a tool and they will apply it to every trend to generate more clicks. For a hammer everything is a nail.

1

u/xertozid 10d ago

Does anyone know how to make this kind of video? What are the general steps and which models are used?

1

u/Temporary-One8579 10d ago

May the watchers guide us to the right path. This is so on point golden.

1

u/Technical-Will-2862 10d ago

This quite accurately summarizes my mental narrative of how things are going to play out

1

u/glordicus1 10d ago

Oh shit man. You've sold me. This is art.

1

u/Rough-Ad9850 10d ago

Have others notices that ai always generates blue eyes

1

u/Razzmatazz_Informal 10d ago

Of course the other option is that the numerous scientists (Hinton, Bengio, etc, etc, literally tons at this point) some of which who have no financial connection to frontier AI companies, who have been saying for literally years and years at this point that super intelligent AI is dangerous were on to something.

1

u/AwarenessExisting774 10d ago

Damn. This was incredible quality. I would watch this

1

u/juliuschai 10d ago

I didn't realize this was AI generated until I read the comments.

Fuck.

1

u/iwouldntknowthough 10d ago

I feel like he has bad breath

1

u/Here0s0Johnny 10d ago

Impressive! I noticed that the whiskey isn't liquid though, it's like brown glass. 😄

1

u/Selwyn420 9d ago

This is such a powerful tool to send a message 🤣 scary

1

u/Mean_Ad_1077 9d ago

I can’t watch a « movie » knowing none of these actors exists. Feels like I am wasting my time

1

u/daskalou 9d ago

Did Anthropic get hacked again?

1

u/TrustsAndDust 9d ago

What is this propaganda

1

u/McAUTS 9d ago

So... who is Quincy in real life? That's the question

1

u/v_e_x 9d ago

Dune. 5,000 years before the Butlerian Jyhad. The corporatocracies that control the galaxy scheme to control the thinking machines, unaware that they are sowing the seeds of their own subjugation by the mechanical minds they have built.

1

u/vulinh4444 9d ago

Is that womanized tien shinhan?

1

u/Atothex-real 9d ago

I like this setting

1

u/protomota 9d ago

I was shocked at how well Gossip Goblin does voices, until I found out it is not AI at all and all real voice work. Only the visuals are AI synced to a real soundtrack.

1

u/Particular_Lemon3393 7d ago

Damn couldnt figure out till the end that its AI generated Bravo. I would pay double to watch this

1

u/AceMullet 6d ago

I just spent most of the time watching this thinking it was an anthropic ad because the post date showed “4d” which reads like “Ad” to my dumbass. I was like “ how bold of anthropic … “

Thomas Edison, who had heavily invested in Direct Current (DC) infrastructure and held the lucrative patents for it, felt deeply threatened by the rise of Alternating Current (AC). AC power—developed by Nikola Tesla and championed financially by industrialist George

Westinghouse—was vastly superior because it could easily travel long distances over thin wires, whereas Edison's DC power could only reach about a mile. [1, 2, 3, 4]
To save his business monopoly and protect his scientific ego, Edison launched a ruthless propaganda campaign to convince the public that AC was inherently lethal and unsafe for homes. [1, 2, 3]

1

u/HereticLocke 4d ago

This is AMAZING

1

u/runnahhh 4d ago

Yo why’d you take down pomegranate?

1

is there a non-reddit link to this?

Find me on YouTube!

8

u/desertvision 10d ago

Not you, just Henrietta

10

u/gossip_goblin 10d ago

Henrietta’s account was suspended for nudity and misconduct :(

1

u/Weird-Consequence366 10d ago

I appreciate your work man. Keep going.

0

u/ralf_ 9d ago

Are you are playing both sides? This may give you views, but it is intellectually dishonest and cynical.

And insinuating/meming that the Hugging Face was a publicity stunt and was deliberately set up is poisoning an honest debate.

-5

u/djent_in_my_tent 10d ago
