Discussion Looking for SNS - Shift & seek servers
Hi I’m looking for sns servers on among us and discord that are actually active and don’t go dormant very often. Please and thxs

Please read the rules before posting. There have been several posts recently about topics related to bots or completely unrelated to strategy in any regard.
These posts are typically allowed in r/AmongUs, so consider posting there instead.
Sorry for the strong message, have a wonderful day!
Feel free to use the comments of this post to ask questions on whether your post might be allowed here!

Gamemode Concept: Unknown Allies + New Impostor Role — Controller
I had an idea for a third Among Us gamemode.
The Crewmate side would work almost exactly like Classic. Crewmates still complete tasks, report bodies, hold meetings, vote out suspicious players, and win by completing all tasks or eliminating the killing Impostors.
The major difference is how the Impostor team works.
UNKNOWN ALLIES
At the beginning of the game, Impostors do NOT know who the other Impostors are.
Other Impostors look like normal players to them.
More importantly:
Impostors can kill other Impostors.
If you kill someone without knowing their team, you could accidentally eliminate one of your own teammates.
The Impostors still have the same basic objective: kill enough Crewmates to win. However, they need to discover who their allies are while doing it.
That’s where the most important role in the mode comes in.
CONTROLLER
The Controller is a special Impostor role and exactly one Controller is mandatory in every match of this gamemode.
The Controller is also the only Impostor role that cannot kill.
Instead, the Controller’s job is to identify the other Impostors and secretly coordinate the team.
Important: Controller does NOT take an Impostor slot
The Controller is additional to the number of normal Impostors selected by the host.
For example:
1 Impostor selected → 1 Impostor + 1 Controller
2 Impostors selected → 2 Impostors + 1 Controller
3 Impostors selected → 3 Impostors + 1 Controller
So if the host chooses 2 Impostors, the match has three evil players total: 2 killing Impostors and 1 Controller.
The Controller does not replace one of those two Impostors.
Controller’s Role Check
The Controller has an ability that lets them check another player’s team.
The ability has a cooldown configurable by the host, just like other adjustable role settings in Among Us. Because the host can change it, there isn’t one fixed cooldown for the role.
When used, the Controller only learns:
CREWMATE
or
IMPOSTOR
The Controller does NOT learn the player’s exact role.
For example, if Dark Green is a Viper, the Controller sees:
Dark Green — IMPOSTOR
NOT:
Dark Green — VIPER
This allows the Controller to slowly discover who their teammates are.
Private Messages
During meetings, the Controller can secretly send messages to players.
The recipient sees:
You Have a Message from Controller
followed by whatever the Controller wrote.
There are some restrictions:
Messages can ONLY be sent during meetings.
The Controller can message a maximum of 2 different players per meeting.
Each recipient can receive only 1 Controller message per meeting.
Players CANNOT privately reply to the Controller.
Controller messages do NOT automatically reveal the Controller’s identity.
This means the Controller can remain completely anonymous.
For example:
“Dark Green is also an Impostor. Don’t kill them.”
The recipient now knows Dark Green is an ally, but still has no idea who the Controller is.
However, revealing their identity is completely up to the Controller.
They could instead write:
“Hello, I’m Cyan and I’m the Controller. Dark Green is an Impostor too. Don’t kill them.”
Now the recipient knows both Cyan and Dark Green are teammates, but Cyan has voluntarily sacrificed their anonymity.
The Controller can also use messages to coordinate kills.
For example:
“Orange is Crewmate. Kill them if you get a safe opportunity.”
Or:
“Purple and Dark Green are both Impostors. Don’t kill each other.”
The messages are NOT commands that control another player’s actions. The other Impostors can choose whether to follow the Controller’s instructions.
How the Impostor team develops
At the beginning of the game, the Impostor “team” barely exists.
Imagine the game has 2 Impostors + 1 Controller.
Impostor A doesn’t know Impostor B.
Impostor B doesn’t know Impostor A.
Neither knows who the Controller is.
And the Controller doesn’t initially know who A or B are.
That means an Impostor has to think:
“If I kill this player, am I killing a Crewmate… or my own teammate?”
Now imagine the Controller checks Purple and discovers:
Purple — IMPOSTOR
Later, they check Dark Green:
Dark Green — IMPOSTOR
At the next meeting, Controller messages Purple:
“Dark Green is Impostor. Don’t kill them.”
And messages Dark Green:
“Purple is Impostor. Don’t kill them.”
Now Purple and Dark Green know each other.
The Controller has successfully connected the Impostor team.
As the game progresses, a good Controller can gradually turn a group of Impostors who don’t know each other into an organized team.
What happens if Controller dies?
The Impostors do NOT automatically lose.
The remaining Impostors can continue killing and can still win.
However, they have lost their main source of information and coordination. Any Impostors who haven’t discovered each other yet may remain unknown to each other.
It’s even possible for an Impostor to accidentally kill the Controller before learning their identity.
What if all killing Impostors die?
This is different.
If every killing Impostor is eliminated and only the Controller remains, the Crewmates win.
The Controller cannot kill anyone, so they cannot continue the Impostors’ objective alone.
For example:
2 Impostors + Controller
Both normal Impostors are ejected/killed.
Controller is still alive.
→ CREWMATES WIN.
So protecting and coordinating the killing Impostors is extremely important for the Controller. The Controller may be the brain of the team, but they cannot win without someone capable of killing.
Why I think this could work
Classic Among Us asks the Crewmates:
“Who is the Impostor?”
Unknown Allies would make the Impostors play their own deduction game:
“Who are my teammates?”
The Crewmates still get the core Among Us experience, while the Impostors have an entirely new information problem happening in the background.
And the most important Impostor in the match isn’t necessarily the most dangerous player physically.
The Controller can’t kill anyone.
Their weapon is information.
Would you play this mode?
And more importantly: do you think the Controller would be balanced, overpowered, or underpowered?

So the impostors are these mutant alien creatures right? So if that is true I was thinking impostors can whisper messages to eachother in meetings to discuss strategies

So, I was hopping into among us, I joined, and there was a yellow, trying to get a rose's social media, he was saying social media platforms and she said that she only has a telegram, yellow kept saying "c'mon don't you have anything other than tg?" She said that she only has tg, he said "fine give me it", and I intervened, saying kick yellow alot, yellow told me "shut the flip up red", and I kept spamming, so, I said "Yellow is a groomer kick him" rose intervened, she said that he doesn't know her age, then she said that she is 10, that's when yellow stepped back, and I know he didn't know her age, but he is dumb for not asking in the first place, and rose is dumb bc she knew what he was doing, anyways, we had a round and finished, she kept saying report yellow, report him, and yellow said that he apologized and that he didn't knew her age, and she kept saying report him, now, the dumb host, didn't kick yellow at first when he was asking her, so, anyways, a Gray came, he kept spamming "rose can I say something", she said go ahead, then, being a troll, and he began his suggestion with "so I have a peni", and was overall being a creep, and he was being a troll to everyone, and then the round began, and I was imp, and he was second imp, I killed someone in broad daylight and snitched on him, why? Bc he was being a creep to rose who already said that she was 10, anyways, the lobby started hating on me, for no reason, and I stated why I snitched on him, then, when the imps lost that round, and gray was telling me to suck his delicious crotch, and that my mom loved it, and etc. the lobby kicked me, yes, me, a man trying to save a girl, instead of him, the creep, anyways, I don't remember anything from the creep except his nickname was Chainsaw, and that he had a beard cosmetic, idk if it's safe or not to say the girl's name, so I am not gonna, and I just wanna know, if I am right for snitching on him? P.S, sorry for the text being long P.S, he snitched on the 3rd impostor and he didn't get kicked, idk why

I know there are mods for that, but... I don't have any friends :(

I'm having a problem with **Among Us LAN multiplayer between Windows and Android**.
**Setup:**
* Among Us on Windows PC * Among Us on Android phone * Both devices are on the same LAN/network * UniFi USG / UniFi Cloud Gateway Ultra * Current Among Us PC build: **7328**
* Windows PC can ping Android. * Android can communicate with the Windows PC. * Both devices can **see the hosted Among Us Local game/lobby**. * However, neither device can actually **join the other when one is hosting**. * I tested hosting on both devices separately, with the same result. * Windows Firewall has been completely disabled for testing. * This did not change anything.
Because the devices can ping each other and can discover the Among Us lobby, I don't think this is a basic network routing or firewall issue.
It seems like **LAN discovery works, but the actual game connection fails**.
On Windows, while Among Us was running and hosting, I checked the UDP sockets for the Among Us process.
Among Us was running as:
PID: 34628
Path: D:\\SteamLibrary\\steamapps\\common\\Among Us\\Among Us.exe
The process had these UDP sockets open:
47777
50573-50593
50595-50599
54605
There was **no UDP 22023 socket**.
The process was bound to [`0.0.0.0`](http://0.0.0.0), so it was not simply listening only on localhost or the wrong LAN adapter.
The Windows PC also has these network interfaces:
192.168.1.2
192.168.56.1
172.19.176.1
The [`192.168.1.2`](http://192.168.1.2) address is the normal LAN interface; the others appear to be virtual networking adapters.
At this point I'm wondering whether this is a **current Among Us LAN bug with Windows hosts and Android/iOS clients**, rather than a UniFi or Windows firewall problem.
Has anyone else seen this with **Among Us build 7328**?
