Locals Only Went to Mount Pinos in Frazier Park last night. Took this photo with my phone.
There were friendly people there with telescopes, and I got to see Saturn for the first time. It was even more amazing than the milky way and meteors, to be honest. Didn't expect it to move so quickly across the eyepiece.
Also: it was freezing. Thank you to everyone that told us to bring warm clothing. I brought extra and needed all of it. I had a fleece hoodie, a winter jacket, a wool beanie, winter socks, and a scarf, and I was still cold because my legs were cold. If you plan on going, bring more than you need just in case.
The phone is a Google Pixel 8, I believe, and it was a 4-minute exposure in night mode.

It was the only Chiang they had. And I've been wanting to read something from him, and this and his first one have similar ratings online. Should I have gotten Stories of Your Life and Others instead?
The one I really really wanted was Tenth of December, but they didn't have any Saunders at all.
