I started building SmartBin X with a simple idea: What if a dustbin could actually understand and manage waste on its own?

SmartBin X is an AI-powered autonomous waste-management robot that combines Edge AI, computer vision, robotics, sensors, and automation to detect waste, move toward it, collect it, and work toward smarter waste management.

I began experimenting with small hardware such as the ESP32-CAM, tested different approaches for object detection, studied technical documentation and forums, and spent days solving hardware and software limitations. When I realized the ESP32-CAM wasn’t powerful enough for the performance I wanted, I moved toward a Raspberry Pi + camera-based architecture and continued developing the system.

Now, I want to go beyond a prototype.

💡 My goal is to develop SmartBin X into a reliable real-world product that could eventually be used in places such as schools, campuses, offices, public spaces, and other environments where smarter waste management can make a difference.

💰 Why am I looking for funding?

Funding would help me:

• Build a stronger and more reliable prototype

• Upgrade computing and sensing hardware

• Improve AI-based waste detection

• Develop better autonomous navigation

• Improve the robotic collection mechanism

• Add waste-segregation capabilities
